Did you know that this impressive palace was built between the 17th and 19th centuries and was once home to the noble Vainai family? For us, it signifies unlimited potential!
A special thanks to niels peter pretzmann and Benoit Chereque for the warm welcome and for developing such a unique concept.

It's a big pleasure to host a "partner in crime" who is also working on solving some of the challenges our planet faces regarding sustainability and global warming. Also on the personal side, I'm happy to welcome some old friends of mine.
🏠 🏙It is becoming increasingly evident that the outcomes of the FuturHist project could significantly impact the partner cities. Cities like Kraków, for example, are in dire need of energy-efficiency solutions for historic buildings and eagerly anticipate our project's results.
Life in Kraków magazine informs about FuturHist and its possible effects on the stock of historic buildings in Kraków due to the cooperation between the Cracow Uniwersity of Technology, Urząd Miasta Krakowa and other FuturHist partners.

Totally agree with Kasra Jadid Haghighi views on the need for the proliferation of portals all over the world. The portal will help to everyone on our planet to understand that despite the arguements and conflicts, we are not much different and in the era of the global challenge of the sustainability pivot needs to work together for big changes and celebrate our achievements together.
Portals being shut down because individuals seek to gain their 30 seconds of "fame" in our social media driven work should not derail our need for coordinated collaboration and understanding of differences that make us unique and not to be oppressed. We are results of cultural, geographic and environmental difference, that is also what makes us power drivers of innovation due to our difference. Once we can harness this with respect in open dialog, we can begin our acceleration into endless possiblities that elevate our species as a true protector of our environment and with a new-found ability to chart our future collaboratively. We need portals to be made available all over the world and it will have immense benefit for others to have a real-time glimpse of ASEAN culture too. What are you views on the portal project?

🌐✨ Portals Linking Cities Together! 👋🏙️
Imagine waving to someone in another city in real-time as you pass by! That's now a reality thanks to the amazing "Portals" connecting Vilnius, Lithuania, and Lublin, Poland.
These portals, funded by the Benediktas Gylys Foundation and supported by both cities and the Crossroads Centre for Intercultural Creative Initiatives, aim to foster global unity by creating virtual bridges between cities worldwide.
🌍 With plans to expand to more locations soon, these portals are more than just a cool concept. They're 11-tonne concrete structures housing LED screens, open 24/7 in all weather conditions.
🚀 Shaped like circles reminiscent of sci-fi stargates, these portals symbolize the connection between distant places. Despite being over 600 kilometers apart, pedestrians can interact and wave to each other in real-time!

’What is different in Oulu than in other European Capital of Cultures that had opportunity to showcase their art and culture scene? Oulu is thinking out of the box and very creatively wants to show Europe and to the whole world that culture is not just about galleries, classic art and museums. It is also about culture of living, culture of food, sport, daily activities and many other aspects that builds our lives.’

NOT FORGETTING: Polish Aviation Museum
One of my hobbies/passions is travel. I have been privileged to visit a few major cities ✈️ and this one certainly is a privilege
It has always struck me that each city has its own definitive brand and if a city can have their own brand, why can’t you?
It’s imperative that YOU find your brand and let your clients know who you are.
Once you have a personal brand, you can move forward with branding your business, and anything else that requires your unique stamp ✨
❓Have you been to Krakow yet?
❓What was your experience like? ⬇️

I don't understand how this commercial about my hometown, Vilnius, has been approved.
GoVilnius, the official business and tourism development agency of Vilnius, has created this commercial showcasing outdated stereotypes about Eastern Europe rather than the reality of Vilnius: https://lnkd.in/dKwMrXsn
Personally, as someone living abroad but a total fan of my city, striving to build the right image of Vilnius, I feel disappointed.
Here's why it's a NO:
1. The first part of the video, the negative one, captures all the attention.
2. And it is not true. Even in a satirical way, it has nothing to do with the reality.
3. Watching the first part of the video makes you feel uncomfortable, leading you to quit before reaching the end of the video and CTA.
4. It's offensive: both to those who are assumed to hold these stereotypes about Vilnius and to the inhabitants of Vilnius.
5. The second part of the video, which is supposed to be positive, is also limited and fails to showcase the city's real advantages.
My LinkedIn friends, what do you think: would you be interested in visiting Vilnius after watching this commercial?

From Prague to Plovdiv, a wave of innovation is sweeping through Central and Eastern Europe as engineers and architects embark on the revitalization of communist-era apartment blocks, poised for the challenges of the climate change era.
Nestled in the heart of Gabrovo city, Bulgaria, stands one of the tallest buildings, home to Hristo Hristov, a former engineer and one of its oldest residents at nearly 90 years old. Despite the passage of time, Hristov remains deeply engrossed in the intricacies of construction, still fascinated by the puzzle of how things fit together. For over three decades, he has resided in this block, which was erected in the 1970s—a time preceding the implementation of energy efficiency standards in Bulgaria—and completed in 1994.
