I want to talk about stability as a goal for freelancers and founders. We hear about the six-figure incomes, the flexibility to pick projects and work around our children, and I'm absolutely here for all of that. I believe transparency is what helps give others a leg up. But when I returned to freelancing just over a year ago, my number one driver was a desire for stability. - Stability from being reliant mostly on myself and my skills for my income - Stability from not being so impacted when letters about stopped or dropped child maintenance come through the door - Stability in the satisfaction that comes from consistently working on interesting projects that I get to choose - Stability from consistently investing in myself through making time and opportunities to continually learn Stability isn't always wearing a comfortable cardigan, driving in the slow lane or staying in a job just because there's a steady salary. Sometimes stability is something we have to aim and strive for. And it's oh so worth it. Do you agree?

Question? What do Freelancers think of the rise in these fixed-term contracts I see popping up and being advertised? It seems like a bit of a bum deal for Freelancers. Agencies wriggling out of paying proper day rates with these fixed-term CONtracts just isn't cricket. What do people think? ps. It is worth pointing out that the places I have freelanced at have been great and paid a proper day rate, on time without fuss. How it should be!!

Free yourself from Ops and enjoy business ownership | Founder @ Strategy Ladders | Coached 1000s of B2B and Agency owners
Sharks and tiburoneros are very much like the ecosystem of business. (Tiburoneros are shark hunters or fishermen who specialize in catching sharks) There are many freelancers and small businesses who feel like they are top dog, they believe they are as mighty as a Mako. But they are, in fact, just feeding on one another. You can witness this process daily on LinkedIn. Freelancers who hire freelancers who hire freelancers. Small businesses who hire small businesses who hire small businesses. But there are massive businesses - the “tiburoneros,” if you will. These are the ones filletting up the small businesses and feeding the carcasses back. If you’ve ever filed for a new domain or used your own address for the registration of a new company, you’ve seen this process at work. The large businesses smell blood in the water and they attack. So in business you have two choices: become the tiburonero, or be the shark that outsmarts them. Which one are you? ✌️ 🧡 🌮

ex-Singapore Airlines || Thought Leader || Speaker || Change Maker || Investor || Entrepreneur || Bullish on Bharat
Just a Thought! 2024 and beyond will be the years of freelancers and GIG economy will grow bigger and better in time to come and more streamlined. Its not only they will get more in freelancing than in a regular full-time job, but also will get more time to do multiple projects/freedom. When I started my carrier with the Airline 33 years back there were only Government Jobs and Private jobs. Today the Gen-Z & Gen-Y have abundant opportunities as everything and evolving and Bharat is moving much faster than ever. I learned gigging from one of my mentors " Jim Rohn who said "𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝟗-𝟓 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟔-𝟏𝟎 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐞 ". After coming across this Quote I started a Part time ( now called Side Hustle ) 26 years back and started working from 6pm to 10pm. Fast forward I got retired in April 2021 after working for the Airline for 32 years and my income now from my Side Hustle is more than 3 times. By utilizing your unproductive time wisely see what you can do: You will build a greater wealth. You will build a greater family. You will build a greater City. You will build a greater State. You will build a greater BHARATH for our next generation. 🤔 Picture credit to the creator.
