Welcome to the July / August 2024 edition of our ZALORA LinkedIn newsletter! These past few weeks, our Zalorians have come together in remarkable ways, showcasing the power of collaboration and unity in achieving great things.

In this edition, we share the recent successes of our ZALORA Seller Conference 2024, and our annual safety week! We also highlight the launch of our new manager training program, designed to equip our people leaders with the skills and knowledge they need to navigate the challenges of the future.

We also take great pride in celebrating the numerous certifications and awards our teams have achieved over the weeks, including the highly coveted Marketing Team of the Year award from Marketing-Interactive, and the Best Customer Service award from The Straits Times and Statista.

Each of these highlights contain stories of unity, resilience, and triumph, which serve as a reminder that when we stand together, there is no challenge too great and no goal too lofty to achieve.

ZALORA Celebrates SEA Independence and National Days

Celebrating with the little ones in red and white ✨

In Indonesia, Zalorians celebrated the country’s 78th Independence Day. In the office, our Zalorians had an exciting round of games, quizzes, tasty food, and amazing prizes! Dressed in white and red, the colours of the Indonesian flag, they filled the office with laughter and joy!

Continuing the excitement in Singapore, Zalorians  transformed our office space into a vibrant party space in celebration of Singapore’s 59th Birthday! With over 50 Zalorians and their families being treated to a breathtaking aerial view of the parade and celebrations, the office  brimmed with excitement and joy!

Complete with a popcorn station alongside traditional snacks, everyone had a great time celebrating! A huge thank you to the Z Happiness Committee for setting up the beautiful décor and creating such a warm atmosphere. And to everyone who attended and made the events a huge success!


ZALORA Seller Conference 2024

Partying with the hottest brands 🏆

ZALORA Seller Conference made a physical event comeback this year, this time collaborating with Meta in their Kuala Lumpur office!

Our top brands in Malaysia had the chance to connect with an extensive network of sellers, as well as the ZALORA and Meta teams.  The best brands on our platform were also recognised and celebrated for their excellence, with awards given out to the top performers in various categories!

Z-CARE: New Manager Training Program

Congratulations batch of 2024! 🎉

The People & Culture Team recently concluded the pilot launch of the Z-CARE: New Manager Training Program, a targeted learning program that is specifically designed to empower Zalorians with the essential skills, behaviours, and mindsets needed for a successful transition into a people manager role!

For the pilot launch the team invited 30 newly promoted people managers to take this journey of learning with us. What set this program apart is the facilitation of training sessions led by ZALORA Leaders - Matej Urban , Nicky Ang , Heily H. and Charles Plumley .

Supported by Gunjan Soni , CEO ZALORA Group, and Jason Toh , Regional People & Culture Director, the program aims to further develop future leaders at ZALORA and support them in their career journey.

ZALORA Safety Week

Very demure, very mindful 🤗

To reinforce our unwavering commitment and responsibility, our Zalorians gathered in our Malaysian regional fulfilment hub for the annual ZALORA safety week!

Embracing this year’s objective of practising ‘sustainable inclusivity’, on top of cultivating a culture of responsibility for personal and team safety, our Zalorians participated in activities designed to impart and raise awareness of safety and sustainability best practices.

This event brought together teams from around the region and reaffirmed their commitment to building a safe working environment. Our Zalorians also took the opportunity to forge stronger relationships with each other and contribute to our local community through a series of fun activities including friendly contests and a blood donation drive.

Safety starts with each individual, and through constant attention and vigilance we will continue to keep each other and our workspaces safe, together!


ISO 45001 Certification

Another safety win for the team! 🦺

Our regional fulfilment centre in Malaysia has achieved the ISO 45001 certification for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OH&S)! 

ISO 45001 is the world's first international standard for occupational health and safety, it involves a rigorous process of implementing best practices, training employees, and continuously improving our safety management system. By obtaining this certification, we are reinforcing our dedication to creating a safe work environment where our Zalorians can thrive!

A huge shoutout to Awie Ramane , Zutiqa Aqmar Yazuli , Ahmad Akmal Asyraaf Abdul Halim , the entire MYFC Operations team, and everyone involved for their outstanding performance. Special thanks also go to Vykintas Mineikis and Ardian Alwi for their continuous support in making safety a top priority across our operations.

ZALORA Officially Pioneer of Singapore’s CaseTrust Accreditation

Singapore’s premier consumer interest protection group, Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) , has formally accredited ZALORA as one of the first e-commerce businesses to meet its stringent standards for consumer protection.

First announced last year in ZALORA’s Singapore office, by Ms Low Yen Ling , Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry, the scheme recognises the most trustworthy businesses in the country, who are committed to clear and transparent pricing, secure payment transactions and strong security measures.

This remarkable achievement is a clear recognition of the trust governments and our customers have in our business, encouraging shoppers to shop confidently and safely on our platforms for their favourite authentic brands!
