I am a clinical psychologist with over 30 years experience as a therapist, clinical supervisor and teacher. I work with adults and adolescents as individuals, couples and families. You can come for 6 sessions of problem focused treatment, work on relationship issues or explore issues related to long term recovery from addictive disorders. The goal is to find a way to be your true self.

There is a reason why the safety protocols on airplanes instruct us to put the oxygen mask on ourselves first in case of an emergency. We can not care for others if we don’t focus on our own needs, even with the very limited time most of us have daily. Yet many of us get stuck on a hamster wheel and end up giving and giving until we simply have nothing left. This in conjunction with trauma can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, and hopelessness. My goal is to disrupt that cycle by providing a safe space for my clients to work through their most vulnerable emotions and emerge ready to tackle life’s challenges.

Hi! My name is Michelle Vallario, LCSW, owner of and sole practitioner at MIND Your Health Psychotherapy, LLC. After many years practicing social work in the acute care setting, followed by several more years providing individual psychotherapy as part of a group practice, I opened my own private practice in March 2018. At MIND Your Health Psychotherapy I used my educational background as a social worker to shape my clinical approach. I consider each patient as a part of his/her environment and tailor treatment to each patient's individual and specific needs.

As a spouse and father of four young children, I understand how the stresses of daily life can wear us all down. I was drawn into the field of counseling due to my desire to help individuals, who like myself can sometimes feel overwhelmed or alone.
