Hi, I'm Taylor, thanks for visiting my profile! Life experiences teach us to feel, think, and act in ways that help us get by at one point, but may no longer be helpful in the present. This can result in feeling detached from yourself, others, or your potential. Therapy is a place to understand, challenge, and update these outdated behaviors and thoughts. By carving out this time in session, we are making space for more fulfillment in your present and your future. It is possible to update our old "internal software"- and this is why I love my job!

I currently am accepting Soonercare and cash pay clients. My ideal client is one who is actively ready to make changes in their day-to-day life. It is my job to give you the tools to make these changes, but the client is the one who ultimately implements the tools given to them. I am here to support you along your journey and give you what you need to reach your goal of having a satisfying lifestyle.

I am accepting clients at this time. My practice is rooting in the philosophy that our experiences create our beliefs and narratives, which in turn create our adaptive or maladaptive behaviors and patterns. By identifying and understanding those beliefs, we learn how to adjust behaviors, thoughts, and patterns while accepting ourselves and what life gives us. My role as a counselor is to provide nonjudgmental guidance in the journey of understanding while allowing room for growth and collaborative conversation.

My priority in the counseling process is to ensure a trusting therapeutic relationship between you and I, so that you can grow and freely explore your emotions. No two people are the same, and it is my mission for us to work together to establish goals that are personalized to fit your unique needs. I am passionate about advocating for your relationship with yourself and others so you can have the confidence to handle the challenges of life. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families.

My special interests include Trauma-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. Although I enjoy working with people of all ages, I especially delight in working with adolescents and adults. When working in school-based settings, I utilize a team approach with school personnel and work closely with parents and staff to ensure that students' needs are met.

My primary passion and area of focus is children of divorce, blended families, and healing marriages. I have been working within this area of interest professionally since 2010, with personal experiences of having a blended family since 2005. Then opening Anchor of Hope in 2018 to help other families. Treatment often includes both individual and family counseling with a focus on grief following a divorce, strengthening and healing biological family relationships, and understanding and encouraging the process of blending that often takes place through remarriage and other life transitions, such as new siblings, moving, etc.

As your therapist, I am here to listen and help guide you along life’s journey and equip you with the tools you need to succeed in your goals. I believe that through the love of Jesus, hope can be restored, and hearts can be healed.

I treat individuals in order to treat families with the understanding that the whole of the family system is greater than the sum of its' parts. Thirty five years in the business has taught me that anything and everything that affects an individual also affects the family system as a whole and vice versa.

Welcome. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). I have been working as a therapist since 2007. Currently, I am the co-owner of Collaborative Counseling and Training where we believe in utilizing evidence based, effective strategies, in a private, professional setting to assist you in addressing problems and goals including stress, anxiety, depression, substance related and behavioral problems, relationship issues and other concerns.

An ideal client would be anyone who feels impacted by their problems or the problems of others. Common issues would be identity, family, relationship, anger management, social skills, self-expression, communication, impulse control, substance use, grief, mental illness/disorders. Goals would be to improve quality of life, decrease depression and anxiety, have a better understanding of self, be validated. The ideal client would want to feel motivated and empowered to gain control of the issues they struggle with. By understanding yourself and expressing true thoughts and feelings accurately you can help change.
