I have a strong desire to help others and want to be part of their journey to recovery. I understand that in life we face many challenges and sometimes we need someone to help us find our way. I want to be supportive and help others as they face challenges and eventually find joy and peace in their lives. Families are the focus of my practice. I believe in helping the family as a whole and working with each individual to improve their lives.

This work is my passion. In addition to working with individuals facing mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and difficulties with navigating life events I have specialized training in healing trauma, grief, childhood issues, and working with behavioral and substance addictions. I am deeply committed to respecting the dignity of each individual and creating a safe emotional environment to heal obstacles and difficulties in a positively focused way. I am committed to being culturally sensitive and aware of each individual's uniques assets and differences and helping them strengthen that as a part of who they are.

The ideal client is ready to break free from stagnation and embrace a life of purpose and possibility. They may be wrestling with anxiety, depression, or past traumas, and yearn to heal and grow. They seek a haven of understanding to unravel their emotions and embark on a journey of self-discovery. Above all, they yearn for inner peace, connection, and confidence to create a life that sings with authenticity and meaning.

The three primary goals I help my clients work towards in therapy are healing, recovery, and change. My areas of concentration include trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, divorce recovery, narcissistic abuse recovery, and work/career-related stress. Because your unique needs bring you to therapy, we will develop goals to meet such needs and evaluate our progress as we work towards set goals. My approach to treatment is conventional (evidence-based techniques), and faith-based Christian counseling. None of us is immune to life's stressors, but effective therapy can help us remain at peace as we handle those.

I am here to help you be more present and less overwhelmed in your motherhood. Therapy is about the relationship between you and your therapist (along with the therapists training & experience). I have both the life experience of being a mama who struggled with postpartum and the professional experience to help.

I live and work in the River Valley. Formerly a safety engineer in Chicago, I later trained as a Marriage and Family Therapist in The Canadian Rockies. I’ve been practicing for over 14 years and provide a Christ-centered approach to therapy. I have over 8000 hours of experience with youth issues. I enjoy working with couples and families, helping people fall in love again. I have helped many people work through loss, trauma and, also trained in and advanced trauma techniques using EMDR therapy. I have seen many clients with sexual issues. I have experience working with children and adults with autism and dyslexia.

I enjoy helping individuals/couples/families and believe that everyone has hope for a better future. Counseling just helps healthy people stay healthy. I offer many approaches to counseling and family therapy, I find that using biofeedback/neurofeedback in conjunction with talk therapy is the most effective.
