This can be the break up of a relationship, or a death, or just moving on from some significant event that changed us. We feel like we 'should' be moving on, and criticize ourselves for not, but it doesn't help. In fact, often, it can feel as if we have 'lost ourselves', and that we don't even know who we are anymore. Therapy can help you find yourself again.

I received my degree in Counseling and Psychology in Education and am a Licensed Professional Counselor-MH. I have worked with children and adolescents in individual, group and family settings for the past 24+ years. Special areas of interest include working with children and adolescents in areas related to: abuse issues, trauma, evaluations and therapy for children with sexualized behaviors, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, divorce issues, behavioral issues and adjustment issues. I also work with children, adolescents and adults with developmental disabilities.

I am passionate about helping anxious people find their chill! The majority of my work focuses on treating patients with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, self-esteem and body image issues, and life stressors.

I have provided mental health services for over 12+ years to adults, couples, and 16+ who are struggling with mental health issues. I guide people in their healing of trauma including complex trauma, dissociative issues, depression, anxiety, grief, psychotic spectrum, and personality disorders. I will create a safe space of honesty and empathy. I will guide you to strengthen self-trust and empower yourself to solve issues within all your relationships, inside and outside of therapy. I believe that our minds and bodies are connected through thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

While past events and circumstances can contribute to where we are, they should not define who we are.  I have a strong and diverse background in serving several populations in all age ranges from 10-90 years old.

We lose sight of our own value, our own beauty, and self worth. We become depressed or constantly anxious, feel lost, maybe even broken on the inside. But, counseling can change that! I provide a safe environment that is consistently supportive, empathetic, and empowering! I will help you see yourself anew, grieve your losses, face your fears, and help you locate your deep self and reconnect to your life's purpose. A natural joy will follow!

Bryan Satterwhite and Nora Boesem bring expertise in working with children and adolescents with prenatal alcohol/drug exposure, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Autism, and attachment traumas. They bring years of experience and their own personal journeys with children’s mental health. They can help you to navigate some of the hardest moments as a family. Offering testing for FASD, autism, and functional developmental assessments. We provide individual therapy for all ages including adults who are experiencing suicidality and trauma.

I have experience working in a variety of mental health settings including a detox facility, correctional facility, inpatient hospital, and community mental health. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults. My areas of interest include severe mental illness, substance use, co-occurring disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, criminal justice involvement, and life transitions.

I provide a nonjudgmental, healing relationship with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, as well as those who have been abused as a child or adult. I help clients process repeating negative memories and self-judgment to achieve a positive sense of self, self-esteem, and confidence. By accepting who we are and what has happened to us, we can learn to be assertive for self and in relationships.

I have worked in the counseling field for over 20 years, during which time I have helped people of all ages in a variety of settings. I am equipped with clinical experience, education and training to help you experience relief, increased insights, and peace of mind.

I am passionate and committed to serving children ages 4-12 experiencing a variety of mental health needs. My goal is to help children and their parents make connections between difficult behaviors and their underlying causes, and help them implement interventions that fit and work well for the family. I work from a person centered approach, providing strength-based care to help children and families address challenges in a way that meets each person’s unique needs. I also believe that play is the language of children, and use both directive and non-directive play therapy techniques to address struggles and difficult topics.

My areas of specialty training are related to developing greater integrity between who we are and how we live our daily lives. One specialty area is the assessment and care of persons who experience gender dysphoria and incongruence. My other specialty is assessing, treating, and accommodating high functioning Autism, especially in girls and women because, due to estrogen, the symptoms appear very differently than in boys & men.
