Meet Amanda from our Service Delivery Division. As a volunteer mental health first aid officer at DEMIRS, Amanda believes that easy access to mental health resources in a work environment is key in creating a healthier, more resilient workforce. “One project I’m especially excited about is the virtual wellness hub I’ve been advocating to include in our online resource toolkit for contact centre staff,” says Amanda. “This will provide staff with a central place for mental health resources and tools, to help manage their wellbeing more effectively.” Amanda is also part of the team that won a Diversity and Inclusion Excellence Award this year for their commitment to creating an environment where every individual is valued, respected, and empowered. #WorldMentalHealthDay

Sharon is also the local chair of the Kalgoorlie Headspace Consortium, Goldfields Rehabilitation Service board member, and Standby Lived Experience Advisory Group member. Painting a picture of a cleaner, greener future. The department recently partnered with Noongar artist Melissa Spillman (Woods) from Maarakool Art to create a piece which represents our department and goals. Hear about the meaning and inspiration behind the artwork, Cleaner Greener Future, which is used throughout our strategic plan and 2023–2024 annual report.
