We are thrilled to partner with Invictus Australia as the team prepare to compete in the Invictus Games, now just four days away! The Invictus Games are a powerful reminder of the courage, determination, and teamwork of those who have served. Each competitor embodies the true spirit of perseverance, proving that there are no limits when we rise to life’s challenges together. To Team Australia: Wear your uniforms with pride, knowing you carry with you not just our nation's colours, but also the strength and culture of our rich history. A huge congratulations to Matt Formston, who has been honoured as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for his significant service to people with disability and to para sports. Matt has been with Optus for over 20 years, and is currently a Sustainability and Sponsorship Executive and co-chair of the Optus Disability Network. He balances multiple roles as a Paralympian, para-surfing champion, community board member, chair for community organisations and corporate leader. Reflecting on the honour, Matt would like to thank his Optus team for their support. “Everything that I’ve achieved and been recognised for, I couldn’t have done without the support of Optus. The leadership team has given me the opportunity to lead multiple lives, and without that I wouldn’t have been able to deliver that value to the community.”

We are thrilled to announce another two years of partnership with the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras! 🌈 Building a future where everyone is free to be their true selves is a huge part of our Optus culture, and we are proud to be reinforcing our commitment to LGBTQIA+ inclusivity. We can’t wait to strut down Oxford Street again this year! In the meantime, check out some of the highlights from last year’s parade. #SydneyMardiGras #FreeToBe

Being able to provide experiences like this one – watching the first Scorchers home match of the season from a suite at Optus Stadium – is what our partnership with What Ability is all about. We're looking forward to continuing our work together this year.
Creating an inclusive world one over at a time, thanks to Optus 🏏🧡 A HUGE shoutout to the incredible team at Optus for hosting an unforgettable evening at Optus Stadium as the Perth Scorchers took on the Melbourne Stars 🤝 Our crew had an absolute blast watching the game from the suite, and to top it off, What Ability athlete Sam Fanning stopped by to say hello after a big Scorchers win! #WhatAbility #HappinessComesFirst #MajorPartners #Optus

After the Black Summer bushfires, we set out to find ways to better protect our towers from extreme weather. We collaborated with the CSIRO National Bushfire Intelligence Capability to assess over 7,000 Optus sites and have since bolstered 40 at-risk locations. The chance that they will be lost during a catastrophic fire has now been reduced by six times. Read more about this project: https://lnkd.in/gArymKNf
