Join us for the NEB-STAR Festival – a two–day event dedicated to exploring how the New European Bauhaus values of beauty, sustainability and inclusion are shaping real change in cities. 🗣️ Through talks, conversations and practical examples, we’ll share what we’ve done, what we’ve learned – and what we recommend going forward. You’ll hear from city planners, architects, artists, researchers, youth and local change-makers. We're combining learning with guided field trips to the demonstration areas. Today, we proudly introduce the NEB Facility Roadmap and unveil how the European Commission will implement the NEB Facility 2025-2027 in close collaboration with Member States and NEB stakeholders. The NEB Facility is the first-ever multiannual financial support tool for the New European Bauhaus running from 2025 to 2027. 📣 Call for partners to scale up NEB projects! The Enhance New European Bauhaus Call for Partners 2025 provides an opportunity for previously funded Connect NEB and Co-create NEB projects to scale up their impact. This grant supports previous NEB projects that either: ⏫ Strengthen their implementation in their original location ⏸️ Replicate their solutions in new areas We're looking for projects that deliver high-quality scale-up or replicability outcomes through e.g. developing products, services, or prototypes; co-designing public spaces or social activation and educational initiatives addressing New European Bauhaus challenges. This call is open to EIT Community NEB partners who successfully implemented a Connect NEB or Co-create NEB project in 2023 or 2024. Applicants must form consortia of 2–4 partners, led by an EIT Community NEB partner. Cities, regions, and affiliated entities can join as full partners or observers. Here’s how a team in Cyprus 🇨🇾 is transforming olive pits into sustainable, beautiful table tops! Pit-to-table uses innovation to repurpose agricultural waste 🫒 and create a functional, eco-friendly alternative to plastic worktops while generating job opportunities for local farmers. Supported by 🇪🇺 EIT Community New European Bauhaus and SocialTech Lab, Pit-to-table has been selected by Grow NEB 2025—an eight-month programme offering matchmaking and mentoring opportunities, as well as testing sessions with potential consumers. The team is now focused on scaling up their products, 👷♂️ experimenting with different techniques and pigment combinations to achieve high-quality results and begin real-world user testing. 🛶 Urban rivers have the potential to bring people together and develop strong communities around them. In turn, a strong community can drastically transform the environment we live in. Collective for Gabrovo 🇧🇬 is a project that revitalises urban spaces along the Yantra River in Bulgaria. By engaging local students in participatory decision-making, this project empowers young people to take part in urban planning and cultivates a strong sese of community ownership. With the active involvement of artists—who enrich design workshops and reimagine the urban landscape through outdoor art installations—Collective for Gabrovo taps into both the aesthetic and sustainable potential of the riverbank, promoting a more inclusive urban design.
