Are you part of the plan? 🌱 This year, the theme of the International Day for Biological Diversity is “Be part of the Plan”.               At Lucas Meyer Cosmetics by Clariant, we are acting for nature to create a fairer, healthier, and more sustainable world. As UEBT members, Southern Cross Botanicals has adopted a plan to ethically source our ingredients from biodiversity.   So because responsible sourcing verification program and suppliers are the heart of biodiversity, the Green Team at SCB celebrated International Biodiversity Day with our local suppliers, listening to a talk about cultural landscapes of the area by Indigenous Nyangabul Ballina man, Marcus Ferguson. Marcus shared his considerable Traditional Knowledge on important cultural biodiversity indicators and Aboriginal history of the area. The team also engaged in planting a small garden around a bird bath as a haven for local insects and birds, and had some fun harvesting the delicious honey from our beehives for everyone to take home and enjoy.
