So far, I have had the opportunity to participate in two major marketing events: the OGxMeta Marketing Summit and the Social Media Advertising Camp. One of the highlights of my internship has been interacting with a variety of Otto Group companies and our business partners Google and Meta.     🌟 GenAI on the rise at Otto Group! 🌟   Yesterday, we had the honor of welcoming Robert Habeck, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, to showcase how we are leveraging #GenAI across the entire #OttoGroup. We are very proud that our Digital & Consulting colleague Melanie Echterhoff and Otto Group colleague Florian Leuerer introduced him to ogGPT - our internal data privacy-compliant AI assistant for all Otto Group employees. Further topics included automated subject lines for better customer engagement, personalized product recommendations and, of course, our beloved SPOT dog who always brings a smile to the office. 🐶   Robert Habeck engaged in an insightful discussion with us about what politics can do to support responsible GenAI. Together with Dr. Michael Otto, our CEO Alexander Birken, our VP Dr. Sebastian Walter, and Dr. Michael Müller-Wünsch, we explored how to strike the perfect balance between technical openness and upholding our core values.   Another highlight was the inspiring exchange with our dual students and trainees. Special thanks to Eva Theilmann from ABOUT YOU for sharing a comprehensive overview of effective testing strategies.   Participants gained deeper insights into AI in advertising, practical marketing takeaways, and inspiration from Otto Group's best practices, while also fostering new connections and collaborations. Das Potenzial von #GenAI zur Verbesserung unserer Services für die Kund*innen und unserer täglichen Arbeit ist enorm – doch es braucht schlaue Köpfe, um konkrete Use Cases zu entwickeln. Darum ging es beim DiscoverAI #Hackathon der Otto Group und powered by Microsoft am 23. und 24. Juli... Gemischte Teams aus Tech- und Fach-Expert*innen von sieben Konzerngesellschaften wie bonprix, OTTO, OSP – Otto Group Solution Provider, Witt-Gruppe, Otto Austria Group, OTTO Payments, Otto Group data.works. und der Otto Group Holding kamen in Hamburg zusammen, um zwei Tage lang intensiv an GenAI-Anwendungsfällen mit Business Value zu arbeiten. Microsoft hat uns dafür Zugriff auf alle Technologien ermöglicht und mit Expert*innen vor Ort unterstützt. Das Ergebnis: Nicht nur ein tieferes Verständnis von GenAI und mehr Wissen im Konzern, sondern fünf MVPs zu Business-relevanten Use Cases, die ein echtes Problem lösen und perspektivisch weiterentwickelt werden können!
