We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Upstream Circularity Podcast, a new three-part series produced by Global Fashion Agenda. In Episode 0, an extended introduction, Federica Marchionni, CEO of GFA, speaks with Faith Robinson, Head of Content at GFA, to set the stage for the series. Marchionni breaks down the current state of circularity, key challenges preventing large-scale implementation, and the solutions already driving change in the industry. Across the three main episodes, the Upstream Circularity Podcast uncovers practical insights for transforming waste into new resources through conversations with industry experts working at the beginning, or upstream, of the fashion value chain. Rooted in the findings of The Upstream Circularity Playbook, the series explores real-world case studies, technical innovations, and systemic shifts needed to scale textile-to-textile recycling. The podcast launches today in recognition of Zero Waste Day, with Episode 0 and Episode 1 available now, and new episodes of this limited three-part series released weekly. The GFA Monitor 2024 Update builds on the Fashion CEO Agenda’s framework, gauging industry progress across five core priorities. The first priority in focus, Respectful & Secure Work Environments, is essential to upholding universal human rights across the fashion value chain. Safe conditions, fair wages, and worker well-being not only support communities but also strengthen industry resilience and productivity. While more brands and manufacturers are setting targets, stronger implementation and broader supplier engagement are needed to drive lasting change.
