Update

  • Plan Indonesia, with support from JPMorganChase, has completed the Tech Muda II program! The program ran for two years between 2022-2024 in the Greater Jakarta area and helped more than 400 young women hone their skills for the digital sector.   During the closing event, speakers from The Office of the Coordinating Human Development and Culture Minister, J.P. Morgan Indonesia, and Plan Indonesia encouraged the graduates to keep pursuing a career in the digital sector. Two students, Tasyah and Alvira, also talked about their experience and the support they received during the program.   These young women and their fellow graduates are now ready for opportunities in the web programming or digital marketing fields. We hope that with the knowledge they gained from the Tech Muda II program, graduates will continue to grow in their careers in the digital field.   Young women? IT-savvy! #planindonesia #planinternational #kitakerja #kitakerjaid #techmudaii #jpmorgan #digitalmarketing #webprogramming #freeworkshop #womenempowerment #youthpower

Vice President @ The Rockefeller Foundation | Climate Action | Philanthropic Leadership | Asia

The climate crisis affects the future of young people, despite their minimal contribution to its causes. Their leadership is essential for accelerating climate action. On #InternationalYouthDay 2024, Plan International, with support from The Rockefeller Foundation, has launched the Youth Leadership Academy (YLA) for Gender and Climate Action addressing the urgent need for leaders in the Asia and Pacific (APAC) region to work together with girls and young people as leaders and influencers for climate action and climate justice. With the Foundation's support, Plan International will invest in 40 youth leaders (70% girls and young women) who are contributing to climate actions alongside their peers and communities in Indonesia, India, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Thailand. This project will also elevate the voices of the most marginalized groups, such as indigenous communities and ethnic minorities, by bringing their concerns to policymakers, consulting with them to understand how best to add value, and supporting their efforts to achieve positive changes.
