They say, ‘Knowledge is Power’, attendees of the MMC Ireland National were treated to two days of industry-leading informed and engaging content on the challenges, solutions and future trends of the construction industry.   You could only be impressed by how Irish companies and educational providers are driving the industry forward into the Industrialised Construction era. An enjoyable few days at the #MMCIreland annual conference. Healthy debate around standardisation vs flexibility, kit of parts and the integration of AI on generative design, configurators and digital twinning. It's an exciting time for the industry with this room coming together to discuss the challenges and focus on collaborative solutions.

Miss Ireland 💚. There is just something special about Ireland and Irish people, back working here even for just a day reminds me of what a special place it is. Just finished it up at day one of the MMC Ireland national conference. Was amazing to see old friends and to meet new ones. The conference talks on #mmc and #offsite were of a really high quality with very senior and thoughtful speakers. Although not a massive amount of people coming past the Dalux stand, as most are here to learn and go to all the talks, everyone who I had the pleasure of chatting to was of great value. Had some deep and interesting chats with some of our Irish customers. And with some old friends and some new folks too. Without exception, everyone had true passion for digital construction, MMC , off-site and innovative which was energising and inspiring. But in true Irish style Garreth Tackney and Brendan O'Riordan will probably tell me tomorrow that this post is a load of feckin s41t and it was only a grand day out. was great to represent Dalux back in my home country and looking forward to day two tomorrow.

💫 Reflecting on MMC Ireland National Conference this week, it is clear that if the Irish building industry is to deliver on #housingforall, #lean, #quality, #materialefficiency, #circularity, #genderbalance etc., #MMC / #industrialisedconstruction & #manufacturing must be at the heart of the change. 💫 #AEC educators, working with government & industry, need to consider what changes to make to ALL our existing #apprenticeship & #degree programmes to support this. We also need new programmes (at the right level & duration) where none exists. For that reason, Technological University Dublin & LOETB - National Construction Training Campus, Mount Lucas are working with a growing #consortium of innovative MMC companies to create a new apprenticeship: 'MMC / Industrialised Construction Technician'. 💫 We need industry's support to ensure this and other new programmes meet your needs & deliver on #thepromiseofMMC.
