CII, with support from TVS Mobility, has set up the CII Centre of Excellence in Employment and Livelihood (CII CEL).

About us

A strong microenterprise sector can be a transformative force for the country. They can steer India towards a USD 35 trillion economy by 2047 while correcting long-standing economic, social, and regional imbalances. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), with support from TVS Mobility, has set up the CII Centre of Excellence in Employment and Livelihood (CII CEL) to catalyse a pan-India, industry-led movement to empower microentrepreneurs in the country. The Centre is working in a mission mode to facilitate collaboration between industry and key stakeholders, implement impact-driven projects, and facilitate key policy dialogues to break systemic and social barriers that impede the exponential growth possible in this sector. In the long run, the Centre intends to create an entrepreneurial ecosystem that gives millions of Indians the opportunity to lead dignified and fulfilling lives.
