We are excited to present our Impact Report for 2024. This report is a testament to our unwavering dedication to driving sustainable and equitable change across the globe. Through collaborations with non-profit organizations, we provided solar panels to less fortunate communities, offering reliable energy solutions and career opportunities to drive growth in the renewable energy sector. We also fostered STEM education for students and our youth, inspiring the next generation with knowledge about solar energy. As we reflect on a successful year, we take pride in the significant global impact we achieved with our partners. This winter, reliable energy is more critical than ever in Ukraine, where cold temperatures and energy shortages continue to pose significant challenges. In 2023, Enstall Empowers partnered with the Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation to provide racking materials for a solar installation at a hospital, ensuring uninterrupted power for essential healthcare services. As the need for sustainable energy grows during these challenging months, we’re proud to continue our work with the Energy Act For Ukraine Foundation. Together, we are helping to expand access to renewable energy in areas where power plants are scarce, building a more resilient future for Ukraine.

Vera Vos-Lexmond, founder of Enstall Empowers, has been instrumental in strengthening our partnership with Solar Energy International (SEI). Vera led the collaboration between SEI and Enstall Empowers for the Blackstone Gives Back Challenge, securing funding for Empowers and SEI to launch the impactful Veterans Ready Program. As we step into 2025, Enstall and Empowers are excited to build on this momentum, collaborating on new initiatives to empower Veterans, women, and individuals from diverse backgrounds to kickstart their careers in solar. In 2024, we collectively dedicated 2,565 Empower Hours to giving back to our communities and supporting less fortunate groups. Through our Empower Hours program, Enstallers receive paid time off to volunteer for organizations or causes close to their hearts. These hours translate into tangible impacts—from supporting children with critical illnesses to helping elderly individuals navigate technology. Meet Yvonne Meijer, our Board Member of Enstall Empowers. Currently, in role at Enstall as a Management Assistant, Yvonne brings a wealth of experience from her previous work with organizations. Her passion for addressing human rights, poverty, and oppression drives her work, as she believes we all have a role to play in making the world a better place. At Enstall Empowers, Yvonne provides vital support, particularly in setting up small projects and events that raise awareness for various causes. One of her favorite projects was with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, where she helped organize a fundraising event to grant wishes for children with serious illnesses, raising significant funds to make two life-changing wishes come true. In recent weeks, Yvonne has played a key role in supporting her Sunfer colleagues affected by floods, showcasing her dedication to providing help where it’s needed most. Her work at Empowers is both varied and fulfilling, allowing her to contribute to meaningful projects and make a real difference in the world. Susan Stark, Training Manager at IronRidge - An Enstall Company, embodies the value of education and opportunity, principles at the core of our partnership with Solar Energy International (SEI). Her journey began at SEI, where she earned four professional certifications and completed two rigorous lab trainings to prepare for the NABCEP exam. This foundation launched her into a decade-long career at Enstall companies QuickMount and IronRidge, solidifying her expertise in the solar industry. Sue’s dedication to education comes full circle in her role as an advisory committee member for SEI. Drawing from her years of field experience, she collaborates with SEI to develop curriculum for field applications, ensuring that the next generation of solar professionals is prepared to drive the global energy transition forward. In addition, Sue is a Board Member of Enstall Empowers, where she continues to drive access to education and opportunity through trainings, collaborations, and more. Sue's story truly reflects the impact of SEI and Enstall’s commitment to education and empowerment in creating a sustainable future.

It’s bittersweet to share that Eva van 't Hul, our Empowers Coordinator, is leaving the team to embark on an exciting new chapter in Australia. Over the past year and a half, Eva has been instrumental in shaping the success of Enstall Empowers. From managing projects and partnerships to curating content and overseeing our website, her contributions have strengthened the foundation of the Empowers Board. Eva shares "This journey with Empowers has made me more aware of the balance we need to strike between reducing our environmental footprint and still enjoying the pleasures of life. Every step we take, no matter how small, contributes to a larger, collective impact. And that's the true power of the ripple effect: the ability to influence and inspire others, creating ripples of positive change that last for years to come. " Her unwavering commitment, innovative ideas, and ability to bring people together has left an indelible mark on Enstall Empowers. We are dedicated to advancing STEM education to prepare future leaders in solar energy and sustainability. Here are some of our key initiatives this year: Support for the Tu + Yo Foundation: Our funding enables hybrid classes in underserved communities, providing essential staff and supplies to expand access to STEM learning. Partnership with Trust in Education: We are supporting the development of computer libraries for girls in Afghanistan, who are denied education beyond 6th grade. This partnership offers critical resources for learning in regions where traditional schooling is restricted. Sponsorship of Wolfpack Robotics 3859: Through this sponsorship, students gain hands-on experience competing in robotics challenges, fostering early interest and skills in STEM fields. Our mission is to equip young people with the knowledge and skills to drive the solar energy transition. This Veterans Day, we’re honoring Matthew Pena a former Marine Corps Reservist and scholarship recipient through the Solar Energy International (SEI) veterans scholarship fund. Made possible by Enstall Empowers and the Blackstone Gives Back award, this scholarship enables veterans like Matthew to access specialized solar training online, supporting their transition into renewable energy careers. For Matthew, this opportunity offers more than an education. "This scholarship represents more than just educational support; it symbolizes a pathway toward empowerment, both for myself and for those aspiring to join the solar workforce," he shares. With his new skills, Matthew plans to specialize in solar operations, maintenance, and battery backup, ensuring solar solutions are resilient and accessible. Inspired to give back, he also hopes to launch a nonprofit to educate others about renewable energy and help fund solar projects for families and businesses in need. His mission is to empower more veterans to pursue sustainable, impactful careers that contribute to a greener future.
