We’re excited to share that our innovators Circulose and NFW have collaborated with & Other Stories to create a new capsule collection. 👗👛✨ Showcasing our innovators' next-gen materials, the collaboration features CIRCULOSE®, made from 100% discarded textiles, where cotton from worn-out clothes and production waste is recycled, and MIRUM®, an alternative to leather made from 100% biobased ingredients. Included in the collection are a bag and cardholder made with MIRUM®, alongside a satin blouse, knit dress, knit top, and satin skirt crafted from CIRCULOSE®. Circulose recycles cellulosic-based textile fibres, such as cotton and hemp to name a few, back into “dissolving pulp”. Dissolving pulp is the raw material for a number of different products, however, the main use for the pulp is the production of textile fibres such as Lyocell and viscose. NFW develops patented technologies based on the sustainable use of plants and natural fibres to create plastic-free, durable goods and textiles. NFW’s supply chains utilise renewable resources, waste feedstocks, and clean, closed-loop chemistries. A Digital Product Passport (DPP) is a digital identifier that provides information about a product, including details on its materials, origins, repairability, recycling potential, and environmental impact. The DPP is designed to be accessible both online and offline, often via physical data carriers such as QR codes. The primary goal of the DPP is to enhance transparency, empower consumers to make more informed purchasing decisions and improve the designation of textiles, whether that’s for repair, resale or as a last resort, recycling. The DPP is a pivotal element of the EU’s sustainability strategy, derived from the EU Green Deal and the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), which came into effect recently, on the 18th of July. The European Commission will outline the specific information required for the DPP in the coming months, with full implementation expected by 2026 for products entering the EU market. However, some companies have already begun to voluntarily implement the DPP in anticipation of the forthcoming requirements. Our innovators are effectively tackling the challenges associated with adopting Digital Product Passports (DPPs). Some innovators, such as circular.fashion, EON, and Vaayu are notable examples of organisations advancing DPP adoption. Read the full article and explore the challenges, origin, functionality, and impact of Digital Product Passports (DPP) here: https://lnkd.in/eiDuzEnY #sustainablefashioin #transparency #Digitalproductpassport #dpp #traceability

Congratulations to our innovator Trove on their recent acquisition of Recurate! 🎉 This strategic move marks a significant milestone in our innovator’s commitment to making branded resale more accessible and supporting the launch and scale of resale programs for all brands. By integrating Trove’s market-leading capabilities including store trade-ins, digital trade-ins, returns processing, non-new inventory management, and resale site-building and management with Recurate’s peer-to-peer expertise, operational network, and Shopify integration, this merger creates a one-stop shop for brands to tailor, launch, and scale profitable resale programs that best suit their needs. With this acquisition, Trove now commands over 75% of total U.S. branded resale traffic, cementing its status as the market leader in resale technology. This growth is further supported by 29 new brand partners, including Steve Madden, Frank & Eileen, The Frye Company, COYUCHI, Clare V., and Michael Kors. Trove’s service allows brands to take control of their resale marketplaces through a white-label technology and end-to-end operations that power circular shopping. This extends the life of products and provides an outlet for unsellable returns.
