𝑲𝒆𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒍 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑻𝒂𝒕𝒂 𝑷𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝒋𝒐𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒂𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒉 𝑪𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈-𝒂𝒔-𝒂-𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒔𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝑰𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒂 We are pleased to announce that Keppel and Tata Power Trading Company Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power, one of India’s largest integrated power companies, have entered into a collaboration arrangement to launch sustainable Cooling-as-a-Service (CaaS) solutions in India. Aligned with India’s Cooling Action Plan (ICAP) and its Smart Cities Mission, the Keppel-Tata collaboration aims to provide state-of-the-art CaaS solutions, delivered through the deployment of both large-scale District Cooling Systems as well as individual building systems to serve India’s key urban areas, commercial and industrial sectors. The collaboration will focus on high-demand environments, such as airports, IT parks, Special Economic Zones, data centres, and other industrial and commercial properties where the aggregation and meeting of cooling demand through solutions, such as DCS, can help to reduce energy use by up to 40% and cut carbon emissions by up to 50%. Mr POH Tiong Keng • MBA • MSc • P.Eng Executive Director, Emerging Markets, EaaS, Infrastructure, Keppel said, "We are pleased to partner with Tata Power, leveraging their strong local presence, to deliver our innovative and proven Cooling-as-a-Service solutions to the vast Indian market. Leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning, Keppel has successfully implemented energy-efficient cooling solutions in Singapore and other parts of Asia. As conventional cooling consumes large amounts of energy, which can be as high as 50% of a building’s consumption, we are confident this collaboration will make a significant impact on India’s cooling landscape and support India’s Net Zero target.” Mr Tarun Katiyar CEO, Tata Power Trading Company Ltd. said, "This collaboration represents a significant milestone in transforming India’s energy landscape, aligning with our commitment to a sustainable and energy-efficient future. By supporting the India Cooling Action Plan and the Smart Cities Mission, we are paving the way for innovative, intelligent Cooling-as-a-Service solutions that foster energy-efficient ecosystems across urban and energy-intensive hubs. Together we will contribute towards India’s ambitious targets of doubling the rate of improvement in energy efficiency by 2030.” According to the International Energy Agency, India is expected to become the world’s largest consumer of space cooling by 2050, accounting for 28% of total electricity demand and 45% of peak load. In such a scenario, the implementation of CaaS can play a critical role in supporting India’s sustainability goals. #sustainability

Keppel was awarded a 20-year chilled water supply contract by Singapore’s Housing & Development Board (HDB) to design, build, own and operate Centralised Cooling Systems (CCS) at three upcoming Tengah Built-to-Order projects. As the pioneer district cooling service provider in Singapore, Keppel supplies chilled water to more than 80 developments across the country, meeting the diverse needs of various industries while maintaining high service standards. Keppel’s CCS aggregates and meets cooling demand via centralised chilled water plants, which generate chilled water for cooling. CCS can deliver better energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption compared to conventional split unit air conditioners, supporting HDB’s goal of reducing township energy consumption by 15% under the Singapore Green Plan 2030. Ms Cindy Lim, CEO of Keppel’s Infrastructure Division said, “With more than two decades of track record serving the cooling needs of business parks, commercial offices, hotels and malls as well as mission-critical facilities, such as wafer fabs and data centres, Keppel is well-placed to work hand-in-hand with HDB to provide high-quality and modern cooling solutions to homeowners.” Interested homeowners can visit the new Keppel Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) Experience Centre at HDB Hub in Toa Payoh to learn more about CCS and Keppel’s engineering and purpose-built designs in a physical mock-up of a typical home unit.
