🚀 Unveiling the 34 greentechs for UOB FinLab's GreenTech Accelerator (GTA) Programme 2024! 💫 Last week, we had kick-offs across Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, to welcome the 34 innovative greentechs into the regional programme. These greentechs have undergone rigorous rounds of screening, pitching and evaluation to be selected for the programme. We started the GTA in 2022 with the purpose of not just to help these greentechs to grow and transform, but also, to drive business opportunities through potential partnerships and pilots with our network of corporates and SMEs. Over the next 6 months, the greentechs will also be tackling the 50 challenge statements contributed by our challenge partners and working closely with the over 30 experienced mentors who are industry experts and leaders to transform the business. Last week, tHEMEat Company had the privilege of attending and showcasing our technology at CleanEnviro Summit Singapore. The EcoSystem Session is a pitch competition hosted by the alternative protein networking community, Bridge2Food, and sponsored by MANE. “We want to make the concept of sustainability relatable to everyone” — Claire Wong, Executive Director at DBS Foundation. She was part of a panel discussion at the launch of #IgniteImpact, a collaboration between DBS Foundation and Enterprise Singapore, aimed at supporting F&B companies to exchange industry best practices towards sustainability and testbed solutions, supported by IPI. Through the session, industry players and solution providers were able to connect and find opportunities to tackle sustainability issues in F&B. To bring to life the solutions, delicious pastries were served by the moonbeam co. and tHEMEat Company, who create granola from spent grains, and alternative protein flavours from vegetable waste respectively. All of which was served in containers by AlterPacks, which is a material technology startup converting organic waste into biodegradable packaging.
