Incorporating sustainable practices into the built environment doesn't happen overnight. For more than a decade, 199 Bishopsgate at our Broadgate campus has undergone a series of transformations to enhance its energy performance and reduce carbon reliance, ensuring that our occupiers can benefit from dynamic, energy efficient, and environmentally conscious buildings for longer. Over the years, our 'rolling retrofit' approach to 199 Bishopsgate elevated the building's Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating from D to A, showcasing the long-term success of these innovations. Take a look at the history of our sustainability upgrades and their impact over a 12-year commitment. #BuildingDesign #Retrofit British Land Workspace

🎉 Two fantastic new independent restaurants are coming to Canada Water! Opening later this year, Sushi Revolution and The Village Tree will take up residence at Three Deal Porters, our collaborative warehouse-style workspace. Building on the success of acclaimed Brixton and Shoreditch locations, Sushi Revolution will bring its modern izakaya concept to Three Deal Porters, offering an informal and affordable dining experience. Visitors can look forward to a signature blend of classic sushi and contemporary dishes, enhanced by alfresco dining in our Dock Office Gardens. Joining them will be The Village Tree - the latest venture from Rotherhithe-based husband and wife team Matt Lloyd and Tze-May Ng - who are creating an Australian-inspired all-day dining destination with coffee and baked goods by day, and wine and small plates by night, all enjoying stunning views over Canada Dock. Together, they will occupy a combined 3,100 sq ft of restaurant space as part of the first phase of our £4bn Canada Water masterplan. Completing later this year, it will deliver 300,000 sq ft of workspace and 13,000 sq ft of retail at Three Deal Porters and Dock Shed, complemented by a new leisure centre for Southwark Council and 186 new homes at The Founding.   Learn more about Three Deal Porters: https://lnkd.in/enMjYd6B   AustralianSuper #CanadaWater #UrbanRegeneration #InvestInLondon

📢 An exciting milestone has been achieved at Canada Water, with the completion of Dock Shed 🎉   Designed by Allies and Morrison, Dock Shed’s dramatic warehouse-inspired architecture takes its inspiration from the area’s industrial heritage, with vaulted roofs mirroring those of the deal (timber) sheds that once lined Canada Dock. Across five storeys, there is 180,000 sq ft of BREEAM Outstanding workspace that boast unparalleled views across Canada Dock and the City of London, with a Conran and Partners-designed reception featuring a lively café and open meeting spaces.   On the ground floor, a 5,000 sq ft all-day dining offering with 900 sq ft of outdoor seating forms the start of the first new high street in London for a generation. The building is also home to Canada Water Leisure Centre, a brand new, state-of-the-art facility for Southwark Council designed by Roberts Limbrick which offers an eight-lane swimming pool, multi-station gym, sports hall and studios, due to open in the spring.   This is the first of many spaces coming forward as part of our Canada Water development, where across 53 acres in Zone 2 London we’re delivering 2 million sq ft of workspace, 1m sq ft of retail, leisure and education spaces, 12 acres of new public realm and 3,000 new homes.   👏 A huge thank you to our partners Mace, AECOM, Gardiner & Theobald LLP, Waterman Group, Thornton Tomasetti, Townshend Landscape Architects, and of course our JV partner for the Masterplan AustralianSuper To find out more, visit canadawater.co.uk

Big upgrades have been taking place at 2 Kingdom Street! We've been installing air source heat pumps at our Paddington Central campus to transform the building into a fully electric, lower carbon space while providing energy-efficient heating and cooling all year round. Once completed in April, the installation will not only improve occupier comfort but contribute to our goal of reducing the operational carbon intensity of our portfolio by 75% compared to 2019. Take a look at the installation in action! #Sustainability #BuildingDesign #Retrofit British Land Workspace
