A fantastic evening at the NHBC Innovators Build to Rent event, held in conjunction with the British Property Federation. In its second year, the event brought together developers, investors and influential figures within the sector to engage on the topic of ‘Innovation in Place Curation’. Discussions explored the value of community engagement; the current and future market outlook; and through a series of ‘Pecha Kucha’ presentations, case studies of what can be achieved through innovative thinking. It covered several topics including masterplanning, inclusive intergenerational communities, repurposing of buildings, integrating a mixed-tenure approach, and the legacy we hope to leave behind. A fantastic morning experiencing firsthand what it means to be a uhaus resident in Manchester. Based on a concrete foundation of 'everything included', Vita Group's new brand is set to revolutionise the Build to Rent proposition. The brand was born from evolving thinking around the Build to Rent product post Covid and is closer to a luxury hotel, with a focus on functional resident spaces and a 24-hour conceirge service on par with a hotel. The scheme also features Lounge 35 offering residents their very own bar with subsidised costs and spectacular views. Alongside an abundance of co-working spaces - reimagined to cater for a post Covid world and the evolving needs of residents - the scheme offers a huge number of events which are focused on building a strong community. An additional highlight of the two building scheme was the sheer amount of outdoor space available across both buildings.
