Wishing our Education Lead Catrin Leader pob lwc at the Careers Wales Valued Partner Awards today. Catrin's role is dedicated to sharing important lessons around climate change and the possible solutions to this vital issue to pupils in schools across Wales.
As part of our Net Zero Skills Strategy, Catrin and her colleagues travel up and down the country building “ethically, informed citizens of Wales and the world” - aligned with the aims of the Curriculum of Wales. With over 7,000 pupils engaged with so far, we're proud of the work Catrin has achieved whilst working with us at Bute, and delighted that her commitment and hard work has been recognised.
Catrin has shared her gratitude to be nominated for such a prestigious award:
"It is a huge honour to be nominated for this award by Careers Wales but an even bigger honour to be able to support the good work that they do in opening young people’s eyes to the vast range of careers and opportunities that are available to them in the future.
"It is always a pleasure to visit schools and colleges and have the opportunity to discuss with young people and share experiences and information with them. Hearing their passion for the environment and their hopes for the future inspires me daily and I am proud that I can contribute to their development and provide enriching experiences so that they can make informed decisions about their future."
