Through using innovative modern methods of construction in our Decarbonisation and Restoration projects, Conamar continues to provide efficient and sustainable buildings for the future. By utilising the Sylva CLT elements provided by Stora Enso & partner B&K Structures at Walworth Town Hall, 384 tonnes of greenhouse gases were avoided. Find out more below:
Celebrating and restoring history in South London: Walworth Town Hall has been a cornerstone of its community since 1894. 🏛️ However, the majestic building suffered significant fire damage in 2013, leaving it in very poor condition. Now, the historic landmark has been refurbished to its former glory. ✨ We’re happy to have been part of this sensitive re-modernisation project to restore the building. On behalf of Conamar, and the client General Projects, Stora Enso have supplied Sylva™ CLT Floors with preinstalled lifting slings to our partner B&K Structures, who have worked closely with Heyne Tillett Steel and Feix&Merlin Architects [FYKES & MERR-LIN] to carefully restore the original features of the Walworth Town Hall. 🔨🌳 The result is a community hub which is once again open to the public; a free-to-use, purpose-built community space that can host events, seminars and leisure activities curated by the local community, for the local community. 💚 👉 Read more: https://lnkd.in/ezaQNaCP 📷 Photos: B&K Structures
