🔨🏛️ Restoring Walworth Town Hall 🏛️🔨 We’re proud to be part of the restoration of Walworth Town Hall, ensuring its historic charm is preserved while upgrading for modern energy efficiency.   What we’ve done: ✅ Pitched slate roofing with lead works on the Council Chamber and Pavilion ✅ Single-ply flat roof systems with a 20-year warranty ✅ Thermal insulation with Rockwool Multifix DD Insulation ✅ 600 x 300 Penrhyn Heather Blue slates across the roof, and 500 x 300 scalloped slates for the Turret Roofs For the lead work, Code 5 was used for ridge, hip, and crown, while Code 6 covered valleys, box gutters, and dormer cheeks. Materials were carefully selected for both aesthetic appeal and durability, working closely with the client and architect to ensure everything was perfectly integrated. Further Update on Rachael Carpenter CF.APMP Funeral Arrangements Following our previous post, Rachael’s family would like to invite those who knew her to attend her funeral and celebrate her life. The service will take place at Cambridge Crematorium on Thursday, 13th February, at 2:30 PM. Rachael’s family are also working on providing a live stream of the service. If this is possible, we will share the link in due course. Rachael’s loss continues to be deeply felt by all of us at Conamar and beyond. I am currently looking for a full-time senior bid writer to join my team and contribute to our continued success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of bid writing, PQQs, and proposals within the construction industry. Experience with cut-and-carve projects and the refurbishment of live buildings would be a significant advantage. While I recruit for this permanent role, I’m also open to connecting with experienced bid writers who can support me on a freelance basis during January, February and into March. On Thursday last week, we returned to work to the devastating news of the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Rachael Carpenter CF.APMP. Rachael leaves behind her beloved two-year-old daughter and a loving family. She was an integral part of our team at Conamar, joining shortly after I took up my post. Over the past six years, Rachael’s remarkable skill, dedication and hard work played a pivotal role in our success. Her contributions enabled us to secure larger, more ambitious projects and achieve numerous high-profile framework awards. Rachael was truly exceptional. Unflappable under pressure, she approached every challenge with confidence and calm. Whether meeting tight deadlines or adding the finishing touches to a tender submission in its closing moments, she had a unique ability to make even the most stressful situations manageable. Her loss will be deeply felt—not only by her family and friends but also by her colleagues, past and present, as well as by clients and the wider industry she touched so profoundly. At this time, the circumstances of her passing and details of her funeral are not yet known. We will share updates when available. For now, we kindly ask for your understanding as we navigate this difficult period and adjust to this profound loss. Conamar
