We'll be the first to admit we love digital tools to design and collaborate — but sometimes a piece of chalk is the best technology. Amazing to see the students at LSA map their Wembley site, roll out their narrative, and define the experience across the public space. Public spaces need a big shake up in whose stories they tell, why and how. So it's been great to explore this as a part of the Design Think Tank on Pageantry and Procession with Saqqra DSDHA The Place Bureau and Eddie Blake and an incredibly skilled cohort of students. #worldbuilding #narrativeplacemaking #publicspace #experiencedesign #collaborativefutures
Collaborative Drawing of Olympic Way, Wembley ✏️ Created by our first-year students at DSDHA, this piece is part of the research for the Design Think Tank (DTT) – Pageantry & Procession. This DTT is exploring public realm design through the lens of events, marking the centenary of the Pageant of Empire (1925, Wembley). Defining agendas of this research are: democratising public space and decoloniality.
