Managing Scotland's water infrastructure is a team sport. And we're lucky to work with a network of delivery partners to invest in these vital public services. Recently we have started a new collaborative project aimed at attracting more people to Scotland's water sector and highlighting some of the exciting career paths that are on offer. The first phase of this project went live this week in the form of WaterCareers.Scot. On the road again today, introducing another ESD Joint Venture site team to our field management technologies!📱 I'm always genuinely thrilled to see how well received it is. It really does bring proper efficiencies to recording and documenting site activities, letting our teams get on with safely delivering our projects, rather than being bogged down in paperwork and filing. This site's just recently mobilised, so I packed a 'spare' TV for the training session – whatever it takes to get the job done! 💪 It's not just a one-way street either. I gain valuable insights from the teams when I'm there, learning what matters to them. 🎓 This helps me find other digital tools that would benefit them, or identify what additional support I can provide on existing tools. It's a fantastic feedback loop that keeps us all improving. Pity the weather wasn't playing ball for some scenic pics, but the low cloud and fog did make for some dramatic views. Craighead WTW achieved Water in Supply on 29th October 2024   In the three weeks since I inherited the project the project team have provided diligent support and training to the Scottish Water Operations team. This culminated in the approval by members of the Scottish Water Board to put the water through the new works into public supply. A very hard worked and satisfying achievement for the whole team. The team have continued this support post WiS as we approach Gate 100 and Project Acceptance. Perth WwTW finish FST4 (Final Settlement Tank)   Final Settlement Tank 4 construction and hydrostatic test complete. This has involved multistage well-pointing system, in-situ base slab and precast wall, cope and chamber assemblies. Greenock SCADA achieved acceptance on 17th December 2024   We are delighted to announce the successful acceptance of the Greenock SCADA Replacement Project. This extremely complex project, which has been over 7 years in the design and prepare stage, will replace the existing redundant distributed control system with a new specification compliant Siemens PLC and SCADA system. It was an absolute pleasure to represent MWH Treatment at this incredible event!
