🎉 Manufacturing Monday - Celebrating the Next Generation of Leaders at Morrisons! 🎉 Nine months ago, 24 of our Manufacturing L1 colleagues took a bold step forward by embarking on the Morrisons Manufacturing L2 Pathway Programme. Today, we’re proud to announce that every single one of them has successfully graduated and is ready to take on new challenges as future leaders in our business! 🌟 Throughout this journey, these colleagues have gained invaluable training across a wide range of topics—everything from self-awareness and confidence to team dynamics, Diversity & Inclusion, and conducting a Business SWOT Analysis. This program has equipped them with the skills they need to lead with purpose and vision. On August 7th, we celebrated their achievements, and we couldn’t be more proud! ✨ This Manufacturing Monday we're shining a light on our Falfish site in Cornwall ✨ On Thursday 1st August, we proudly opened our new seafood freezing centre at the site. It’s the largest and most advanced freezing centre in the UK and is able to freeze up to 112,000 fish per hour, that’s up to 180 tonnes of seafood each day, with fish being caught, frozen and packed in under an hour. For our customers it means they’re able to enjoy a wider range of fresh, high-quality fish and shellfish in store and at our Market Street counters. It also supports our target of net zero operational emissions by 2035 with the new technology that’s environmentally friendly. 🐟🦀 Andrew Thornber, our Group Manufacturing Director, said: “Over 80 per cent of the fish and shellfish sold in Morrisons stores comes from our seafood operations in Cornwall, where we buy directly from local fishermen. Opening the UK’s largest fish freezing centre not only strengthens our position as one of Britain’s biggest foodmakers but also significantly grows our seafood export business.” #ManufacturingMonday #FoodManufacturing

This weekend the resourcing team completed 63 miles walking for together for short lives! ✨ Manufacturing Monday - this week from Winsford ✨ We just hosted an amazing afternoon tea for our incredible colleagues celebrating 5, 10, 15, and 20 years service. This quarterly event is our way of saying thank you and giving everyone a chance to celebrate, catch up, and share memories. This year is extra special for Winsford – we're marking 20 years since its grand re-opening! 🎊 With 19 colleagues who were here from the start, it’s a journey worth celebrating. And that's not all! We had a whopping 40 colleagues celebrating long service this quarter, with a combined 380 years of dedication and hard work! Some of you may remember friend of Morrisons and inspiring fundraiser Jack Thompson. Jack was diagnosed with a brain tumour when he was 4 months old, leaving him registered blind. After seven rounds of chemotherapy, proton therapy and nightly growth hormone injections, Jack's spirit remains unbroken. Now 16, Jack has been fundraising at Morrisons since 2018 and has raised over £160,000 for our previous charity partner Young Lives vs Cancer and has visited an impressive 195 Morrisons stores. During our five year partnership with the charity that has supported Jack and his family for many years, we funded a brand new Home from Home in Manchester, providing free accommodation to young people receiving cancer treatment nearby, we named the Home Jack's House in recognition of our special relationship with Jack. Jack has been gearing up for his final fundraiser before he takes a break to concentrate on his studies and is aiming to reach £50,000 taking on a SkyDive.
