Good news for the Lower Thames Crossing project today in the Chancellor’s statement - Antoine Schwob, Project Director for our Bouygues Travaux Publics and Murphy joint venture which will be delivering the Tunnels and Approaches section of the Lower Thames Crossing, said; “Today’s statement from the Chancellor backing the much-needed Lower Thames Crossing - which will support thousands of jobs during its build - is a very positive signal of the government’s intent to get Britain building again. We continue to develop our construction plans which are focused on carbon reduction, value for money and building a local workforce and supply chain. We now look forward to 23 May, when the Secretary of State for Transport is due to make the planning decision on the new crossing.” https://lnkd.in/eBA-sint  

Our Murphy overhead line crews have been hard at work supporting ESB Networks in the repair of faults to the electricity grid, to bring power back to people in Co. Murphy is proud to have supported the Julian Benson CF Foundation's Tranquillity House Project over the last year. When it opens this spring, Tranquillity House will provide a home away from home for people with CF and their loved ones, who often have to travel long distances to hospital in Dublin for treatment. This project was very different to the large infrastructure projects our teams are used to working on, yet everyone involved adapted their skills to go above and beyond, always which such heart. Our joint venture with Kenaidan Contracting Ltd. has secured its first Ontario win with the award of a Metrolinx construction manager contract. We will help inform the detailed design, and provide construction management advice, for upgrades to Oakville GO station during the project development stage.   Rob Gray, President of Kenaidan Murphy Joint Venture (KMJV), said; “We are delighted to be delivering design advice to Metrolinx to upgrade the second busiest station on the network outside of Union Station. Our combi wall pile installation is progressing well on Berth 30 at Dublin Port, as part of the Alexandra Quay West Upgrade at Berths 29, 30 & 31.   This is one of several Murphy projects ongoing for our valued client, Dublin Port Company, under our single party marine & civil works framework agreement.   Our Murphy 300-ton crawler crane was deployed to install these 1420mm diameter, 35m long, steel piles using Murphy pile gate and temporary works system. #MoreToMurphy #OneMurphy #Marine #DublinPort
