We're back at our Water Recycling Centre in Thurleigh, Bedford where we are investing £1.9 million to reduce the levels of phosphorus in our network. Our team are installing an I-Phyc Algal Biological Reactor which includes 19 new tanks which leverage natural processes to improve efficiency and sustainability, to remove harmful chemicals from the water supply. This innovative initiative not only removes the need for chemicals and their associated costs, but also lowers sludge production levels, leading to reduced carbon emissions and enhanced safety of our teams on-site. This project supports Anglian Water Services in removing phosphorus in the water treatment process, which makes the rivers in our region cleaner! #oneAlliance #AnglianWater #Thurleigh #Bedfordshire

We're back on site where we're investing over £6.5 million at one of our Water Treatment Works, to reduce the levels of nitrate within in the network! As part of this project, we're installing a new Ion Exchange Plant, which is responsible for reducing nitrate levels from the water. Alongside our site manager Danielle Martin, our teams are installing the pipework & supports for the treatment plant, fitting cable trays for the electrical system & preparing to install the salt saturator & brine waste tank. By reducing the nitrates in our networks, this will protect our Anglian Water Services water quality for many years to come! #oneAlliance #AnglianWater #Nitrate #IonExchangePlant

The water industry may not always have a glamorous reputation, but we’re on a mission to change that! Kofi E., our Virtual Reality Analyst, hosted a workshop for the @one Alliance, showcasing how VR headsets are transforming collaboration. With over 150 Meta VR headsets in use, we’re streamlining our construction delivery by working safer, faster and more efficiently. By educating @one Alliance members on the benefits of VR, we’re setting the stage to bring these headsets to our STEM events, sparking the curiosity of the next generation and inspiring them to explore the exciting careers within the water industry! #oneAlliance #AnglianWater #VirtualReality #STEM #STEMAmbassadors

We're back at our work in Holywell Row, where we're investing £1.4 million into our stormwater capacity! Our team has been progressing well underway with the installation of 45-metre-long pipes. These include five interconnected rows of 1,500mm diameter pipes, each measuring 45 meters in length. In total, these will provide a total storage capacity of 390m³. This system is designed to capture excess stormwater and gradually release it back into the pump station once conditions stabilise. Once complete, this project will significantly improve Anglian Water Services risk of flooding in the area during heavy rainfall! #oneAlliance #AnglianWater #HolywellRow #Suffolk

Earlier this week, members of the Anglian Water Services and @one Alliance Senior Leadership visited our Little Whelnetham to Raydon Tee (LRT) section of the Strategic Pipeline Alliance. Our Managing Director, Ian Hutchinson and Commercial Operations Director, Jason Tucker joined Anglian Water's Dr Ros C Rivaz and Zarin Patel during the visit. The LRT section plays a crucial role in the essential pipeline linking Bury to East Suffolk, ensuring water reaches the areas where it’s needed most. Spanning 36km in total, the pipeline comprises 26km of 630mm pipe & 10km of 450mm pipe. We're proud to be playing our part in creating a more resilient, sustainable future for our communities in need all across the region! #oneAlliance #AnglianWater #LRT #StrategicPipelineAlliance

Despite the freezing temperatures, our teams are still out on sites delivering our final AMP7 projects, including this £10 million investment into our Ramsey Water Recycling Centre! As part of this project, we're installing a new 693m³ capacity storm tank, increasing the sites total capacity to 953m³. While also installing a new Flow to Full Treatment (FFT) element, to allow the site to treat an additional 20 l/s, taking the sites flow capacity to a total 89.4 l/s. Right now, the team is busy installing rebar in preparation for the upcoming concrete pour and the glass-coated steel tank set to be installed later this month. This investment will improve Anglian Water Services protection of our local rivers & wildlife across Cambridgeshire! #oneAlliance #AnglianWater #Ramsey #Cambridgeshire
