Work has restarted to deliver 28 much-needed affordable homes in Shropshire - following an unexpected pause when the original contractor went into administration. We have partnered with West Midlands-based developer Harper Group to complete the project. The development, supported by a £1.2m Homes England grant, includes a mix of one and three-bedroom houses and bungalows - some specially adapted for residents with mobility needs. The development is set to be completed later this year.

As part of Housing Plus Group, we've secured £12m to invest in making nearly 2,000 homes more energy efficient. The funding from Wave 3 of the Warm Homes Social Housing Fund means we can do more to help reduce energy bills for customers like Harry.

Meet our Development Manager Charlotte Prince. Having always had an interest in housing, Charlotte began her career as an estate agent before joining us. With a passion for development, she embraced the opportunity to study for a Construction Project Management degree, which helped her progress into her current role as Development Manager. We recently caught up with Charlotte as part of #wicweek to hear more about her role, what drives her, and her experiences as a woman in the construction industry.

Over the past 12 months Wellington Army Cadet Vihaan has volunteered at one of our extra care schemes as part of his Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award. He has gone on to secure a work experience placement with our ICT team this summer. Here's Vihaan sharing his experience and his ambitions. He's a young man with a bright future ahead.
