Chief Marketing Officer/ Person in Recovery

Spent the morning representing Addiction Recovery Services PLLC at the Franklin’s Bridge to Recovery Walk. Got to hear inspiring stories as well and walking with a large group of people through the streets of Franklin to raise awareness for SUD and MH Recovery. There were recovery partners from all over. Got to see and walk with Rachel Miller and Shari Woods of Better Life Partners. The bonus though was having one of my daughters working the table and walking with me. Thanks Concord Hospital Health System and NAVIGATING RECOVERY OF THE LAKES REGION for the invite!

  • Unlocking the Power of Recovery Capital: Building Strong Foundations for Lasting Recovery 💪 In the journey of recovery from substance use disorder, one concept holds immense significance: Recovery Capital. But what exactly is Recovery Capital, and why is it so crucial? 🌱 **Defining Recovery Capital**: Recovery Capital encompasses the internal and external resources that individuals draw upon to initiate and sustain their recovery journey. It encompasses various dimensions, including social support networks, financial stability, physical health, psychological well-being, and personal motivation. 🛠️ **Tools for Transformation**: Think of Recovery Capital as a toolkit equipped with the essential tools for transformation. Each tool represents a different aspect of an individual's life, contributing to their overall well-being and resilience in the face of challenges. 🤝 **Social Support Networks**: Strong social support networks play a pivotal role in bolstering Recovery Capital. These networks provide individuals with encouragement, understanding, and accountability, helping them navigate the ups and downs of recovery with greater ease and confidence. 💰 **Financial Stability**: Financial stability serves as a cornerstone of Recovery Capital, enabling individuals to access essential resources such as treatment services, housing, education, and employment opportunities. By addressing financial stressors, individuals can focus their energy on their recovery journey without undue burden. 🏋️♂️ **Physical & Mental Health**: Physical and mental health are fundamental components of Recovery Capital. Prioritizing self-care practices, maintaining healthy lifestyle habits, and addressing co-occurring mental health conditions are essential for sustaining long-term sobriety and overall well-being. 🌟 **Cultivating Personal Motivation**: Personal motivation acts as a driving force behind recovery efforts. When individuals have a strong sense of purpose, hope, and determination, they are better equipped to overcome obstacles and stay committed to their recovery goals, even in the face of adversity. 🚀 **Empowering Change & Resilience**: By enhancing Recovery Capital, we empower individuals to effect positive change in their lives and cultivate resilience in the face of challenges. With a robust foundation in place, individuals are better equipped to navigate life's complexities and embrace the possibilities of a fulfilling, substance-free future. As we recognize the importance of Recovery Capital, let's continue to invest in building and strengthening these essential resources for individuals on their journey to recovery. Sharing experiences, struggles, and triumphs with others who have walked similar paths can instill a sense of belonging and reduce feelings of isolation. 🌱 **Nurturing Growth & Healing**: Communities offer a nurturing environment where individuals can grow and heal together. Through mutual encouragement, empathy, and accountability, community members empower one another to stay committed to their recovery goals and overcome obstacles along the way. 🤗 **Non-Judgmental Support**: Within a supportive community, individuals feel accepted and understood without judgment. This non-judgmental environment allows individuals to be vulnerable, seek help when needed, and celebrate progress without fear of stigma or shame. 💬 **Shared Wisdom & Resources**: Community members bring a wealth of diverse experiences and insights to the table. • Breaking Barriers: MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) in Addiction Recovery Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is transforming the landscape of addiction recovery, offering hope and healing to individuals battling opioid and alcohol dependence. MAT combines FDA-approved medications with counseling and behavioral therapies, providing a comprehensive approach to treatment that addresses both the physical and psychological aspects of addiction. For too long, the stigma surrounding addiction has prevented many from accessing the care they need. MAT challenges these misconceptions by recognizing addiction as a chronic medical condition that requires evidence-based treatment, just like any other health issue. Studies have shown that MAT significantly improves treatment outcomes, reducing cravings, withdrawal symptoms, and the risk of relapse. By stabilizing brain chemistry and reducing the euphoric effects of opioids or alcohol, MAT helps individuals regain control of their lives and embark on the path to long-term recovery. Despite its proven effectiveness, MAT continues to face barriers to widespread adoption. Misinformation, stigma, and regulatory challenges can hinder access to MAT for those who would benefit from it most. As professionals in the addiction treatment field, it's our duty to advocate for the expansion of MAT and ensure that it is accessible to all who need it. By raising awareness, challenging stigma, and advocating for policy changes, we can break down barriers and increase access to this life-saving treatment. Let's continue to champion MAT as a vital tool in addiction recovery and empower individuals to pursue the path that best supports their journey to healing. Together, we can make a difference and save lives. #MAT #MedicationAssistedTreatment #RecoveryIsPossible

  • 🔵 Addressing Substance Use Disorder (SUD) within the Criminal Justice System: A Call for Comprehensive Support 🔵 Substance Use Disorder (SUD) intersects with the Criminal Justice System in significant ways, impacting individuals' lives and communities. It's time to address this issue with compassion and comprehensive support.
