Round Rock Public Library is a true multi-use space for the community, and one of our favorite recent projects!
PGAL + 720 Design's efforts on The City of Round Rock Public Library were featured in this month's issue of Texas Architect! The new three-story, 67,000-SF library features highly flexible and adaptive spaces such as technology hub, maker space, large multipurpose rooms, quiet reading room, genealogy area, ample study spaces and rooms, a dedicated floor for children and teens, and various elevated outdoor spaces with views to nature and the urban context. "We have our own goals as architects and designers," says Scott S., architect at PGAL, "But ultimately, it's the community's building." Olivia recently took us on a tour of her work at One Uptown in North Austin, adjacent to the Domain. These two towers, one office and one residential, offer a stunning view of Q2 Stadium and the downtown skyline. They’re connected by two rooftop amenity decks totaling 39,000 SF, complete with a pool, cabanas, planter gardens, lounge areas, shade structures, an outdoor kitchen, game lawns and more. We can’t wait to see what this property looks like when it’s fully completed! #landscapearchitecture #landscapedesign

Coleman & Associates collaborated with the City of Kyle to redesign their underutilized historic town square into a park that gathers residents and visitors alike. Mary Kyle Hartson City Square Park is now buzzing with activity – kids playing with each other on the new playscape, families eating together at the picnic tables, friends lounging in the moveable furniture. Check out some of the pictures we took on site last week!

Today we are celebrating one of our projects at Research Park Plaza winning a Silver Award from the National Association of Landscape Professionals! This Northwest Austin office campus provides workers an outdoor escape, complete with multi-use spaces under large existing trees, lush native planting and pathways to connect users from building to building. Congratulations to Principal Ashley Scroggs and our team for designing this award-winning project, and to our friends at Clean Scapes for implementing this beautifully and bringing our vision to life.
