A set-back for V2X in the US. Indeed it looks as if the US and EU start going in different directions of short range communication.

🇺🇸 V2X: The US Department of Commerce is examining vehicle connectivity. Though we are far from conclusions yet, this I see as a harbinger of a stronger separation of short-range V2X road safety services and convenience services, that tend to be cloud based. I would also guess we will not see a single global V2X ecosystem, it will fragment further. What works in the 🇺🇸 may not work elsewhere, same for 🇨🇳, 🇰🇷 or 🇪🇺.
