The power of collaboration! 🤝 A special thanks to our community friends at CleanUP USA for the opportunity to help serve our unhoused neighbors and provide fresh showers, haircuts, clean clothes, and warm meals. We were joined by fellow community partners who shared local resources and information available in East and South Dallas. 💙

Dallas-based #nonprofit that equips underserved individuals with life skills, nutritional services & vocational training
About us
Empowering the Masses was formed in 2018 to address the needs in South Dallas areas with tailored programs to provide life skills, educational training services, and access to healthy food with our drive-up food pantry. Our mission is to change the trajectory of the lives of the individuals we serve through education and life skills training. We envision self-sufficient individuals with self-worth and financial independence to improve their quality of life and life within their South Dallas community. Our programs include Phlebotomy training and certification preparation, Life Skills training, and short-term assistance through a food pantry to serve the food desert in these neighborhoods. With experience in the medical and education areas, our founder saw a need in these under-served areas and formed Empowering the Masses to collaborate with other agencies to further the reach into zip codes with identified needs. Our founder is a person of color who has over 22 years of experience in education and the medical field and created EMT based on her childhood experiences. We help individuals gain self-worth and financial independence so each person may become self-sufficient and improve their quality of life within their community.

We had a blast at the Juneteenth Walk at the MLK Jr. Center last weekend. It's always great connecting with our neighbors and couldn't think of a better way to celebrate #Juneteenth than by sharing invaluable resources to plant seeds for a brighter future in our community.

Today is #WorldBloodDonorDay We know for some the significance may not mean much but for others, a decision to donate blood could literally save a life. Especially in communities with limited access to health care, plagued with chronic illness, or a drastic lack of donors in the area to meet the need. Blood is needed every 2 seconds for the treatment of accident victims, cancer patients, hemophiliacs, surgery patients, and more - but only 37 % of our country's population is eligible to give blood, and less than 10 % of those who can donate actually do donate annually HOW CAN YOU HELP? 🩸 Donate blood today. And plan recurring donations. 🩸 Encourage a friend to donate as well. 🩸 Can’t donate blood? Donate your time or funds to a local org You can also become a CERTIFIED life-saver as a highly trained #phlebotomist 🩸 ETM provides invaluable #phlebotomy training. The next cohort starts this fall; enrollment ends July 9. #swipeleft to learn more + apply today!
