Perimenopause is an often-overlooked phase of women's health, and too many women feel unheard and unsupported during this critical time. That's why Evernow is proud to support Oova in releasing their State of Perimenopause report, which surveyed over 700 women across the U.S. The findings highlight significant knowledge gaps, treatment frustrations, and societal expectations that continue to hinder care for women in perimenopause. Yesterday was a landmark day for women's health and innovation. Dr. Jill Biden announced that $100 million in federal funding will be allocated to advancing women’s health research & development through her groundbreaking new White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research. Evernow CEO & Founder, Dr. Alicia Jackson, had the distinct honor of joining the First Lady in Boston -- alongside a group of thought leaders & change makers in women's health -- to voice perspectives on the most pressing opportunities & to help shape the initiative's investment priorities. The conversation was not only enlightening, but also a testament to the collective commitment to transforming the future of women’s health. We are grateful to The White House, Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) and Director Renee Wegrzyn, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and influential advocates like Maria Shriver for spearheading this initiative. We left incredibly energized and optimistic about its potential to close research gaps, accelerate new ideas, and ultimately build a brighter future for all women.

Their discussion emphasizes menopause significantly influences long-term health, encompassing the brain, bone, and cardio-metabolic system. Today, we're very excited to announce Evernow's strategic partnership with Talkspace, which will expand access to high quality mental health & menopause care on both platforms. The association between menopause and mental health has historically been overlooked. Only now are we coming to appreciate that symptoms of menopause often start in the brain, even doubling rates of anxiety and depression during the perimenopausal transition. These hormonal shifts often overlap with peak career demands and caregiving responsibilities, further amplifying the challenges of navigating menopause while effectively managing mental health. Our joint effort will provide multi-month members with free access to Talkspace's extensive self-guided mental health programs, complementing Evernow’s personalized care.
