Last week over our lunch hour, GBA walked a few blocks up the hill to the Stimson-Green Mansion to practice our one- & two-point perspectives – scroll for some photos and sketches from our visit. Thank you to the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation for so generously inviting us to spend our lunch hour sketching the historic building's beautiful interior spaces!   The Stimson-Green Mansion is a remarkably well preserved, elaborate home on First Hill. Construction of the Mansion was completed in 1901 and the “Eclectic” Architecture features a range of styles including English Tudor, Renaissance, Neoclassical, Gothic, Romanesque, and Moorish. The Trust (and the home’s previous owners) have kept the Stimson-Green Mansion in immaculate condition. We're excited to share Vitus made Office Snapshots' list of 'The Top 25 Most Popular Offices of 2024' | https://lnkd.in/dTjYxcVq Vitus is an adaptive re-use project located in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle, WA on 2nd Avenue. The three-story existing heavy timber and masonry structure was revitalized to house a new set of retail and office tenants at the first and second floors. The upper floors were custom built out to for the building owner which includes a new Penthouse structure at the roof level and new roof decks at both the east and west. The cardamom croissant is a laminated, convoluted delight, like a not-too-sweet kouign-amann. The cinnamon-Okinawan sugar toast is a pillowy slab of morning comfort. And no self-respecting breakfast joint omits an egg-and-cheese sandwich. This one comes on either Hawaiian bread or melonpan, a Japanese sweetbread domed with a thin cookie-like crust. At Lakeside Landing, the Graham Baba design team utilized the challenging slope as an opportunity, orienting the most-used spaces on each level towards the water. A bridge from the street spans the one-story drop between the road and the entry.
