📊 2024 Homeless Point-In-Time Count Results Revealed Our latest Point-In-Time (PIT) Count underscores the critical challenges our community faces in addressing homelessness. With an 86% increase in the unsheltered population from last year, it’s evident that more strategic efforts and resources are essential. 🔍 Highlights: • 2,776 individuals were counted, a 23% rise from 2023. • Unsheltered population surged to 1,094 individuals. • Volunteer participation saw a 400% increase, leading to a 238% increase in survey completions. 🏠 Main Factors: The lack of affordable housing, rising rents, and high eviction rates are driving these numbers. These findings are crucial for shaping our strategies and allocating resources effectively. 👥 Demographics & Subpopulations: • Significant over-representation of Black individuals (47.8%). • Notable increases in chronically homeless (55%), veterans (15%), and unaccompanied youth (52%). Despite the return to pre-pandemic shelter levels, the demand for sustainable solutions is higher than ever. Professionals across sectors are invited to join us in developing innovative, impactful solutions. Explore how your expertise can contribute to our mission. Together, we can make a difference. #EndHomelessness #PITCount2024 #ProfessionalImpact #SustainableSolutions #HomelessServicesNetwork
