Designed by the Introba Light Studio North America team, this project merges the rich cultural heritage of the #Squamish and other Coast #Salish peoples with the transformative power of light, bringing a stunning artistic vision to life in one of Canada's fastest-growing cities. Really proud to share this press release announcing the recent opening of the voco Zeal Exeter Science Park in partnership with Zeal Hotels and Valor Hospitality. It has been a career highlight for me and my close colleagues to be able to contribute to bringing this project to life. Let me tell you why this property is so special: This is the first branded hotel in Europe to achieve a #BREEAM Outstanding rating for its design and construction. The low #EUI (Energy Use Intensity) it is forecast to achieve is years ahead of best-practice construction in the hotel sector. It is expected that the hotel will generate more electricity through its on-site renewables, than it consumes. Everything used in its construction and fit-out has been selected to meet balanced criteria of embodied energy, longevity, recycled content and reuse-ability, cost and efficiency. This hotel successfully challenges some of the long-established expectations of the hotel stay experience, helping their guests to make informed decisions and leading the charge on genuinely #SustainableHospitality. I know that the project and hotel team share my pride in congratulating our partners on this breakthrough development for the branded hotel industry, and we are all looking forward to welcoming guests to this #ReliablyDifferent hotel for some thoughtful, unstuffy, charming, signature voco Hotels #TrueHospitality. Day 3 at the ASHE PDC Conference Another incredible day at #ASHEPDC! The morning kicked off with a truly inspiring session as we witnessed Douglas Erickson receive the Lifetime Achievement Award—a well-deserved honor for his decades of impact on healthcare facilities. Henry Domke, MD was also recognized with the Change Maker Award, celebrating his contributions to transforming healthcare environments. Beyond the sessions, the networking has been phenomenal. I had the chance to attend the Bear Construction and JLL event, followed by the McCarthy event at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium—a fantastic venue and a great way to connect with industry leaders. Once again, the Introba team showed up strong, making an impact across the conference. 📣 Project Spotlight: Aquapulse and Encore Events Centre Throwback to the incredible transformation of the 80 Derrimut Road Site in Hoppers Crossing. The Aquapulse and Encore Events Centre has been a vibrant community hub since its opening. The project included a new library, expanded #aquatic and #leisure facilities, and a redeveloped events centre, all designed to enhance learning, #recreation, and social engagement. The upgraded centre continues to offer modern amenities like improved swimming pools, fitness areas, and leisure spaces, catering to diverse recreational activities for all ages. It integrates seamlessly with other community services, fostering increased interaction and social cohesion. Sustainability was a key focus, with energy-efficient designs, natural #daylight, efficient pool #WaterFiltration, #RainwaterCapture and reuse, and high-performing #facades.
