September was a month of service and community building for the Jair Lynch team. We are extraordinarily grateful for the opportunity to serve our communities in a variety of ways through impactful partners like DC Central Kitchen and Habitat for Humanity of Washington, D.C. & Northern Virginia. This month, our team pounded nails, framed walls, and helped transform a Capitol Hill row house into two affordable homes as part of #HabitatforHumanity's #WomenBuild campaign. A week later, the entire Jair Lynch team chopped produce, prepared meals, and organized produce distributions with #DCCentralKitchen to fight food insecurity across the city. We are honored to partner with organizations like these that work tirelessly, day in and day out, to build stronger communities. Thank you, DCCK and Habitat, for having us. We'd like to extend a huge, heartfelt thank you to DC Central Kitchen for hosting our 2nd Annual #JairLynchDayofService! Our team had an absolute blast volunteering with #DCCK to prepare fresh fruit, produce, and chef-inspired meals for residents across the City. With busy hands and full hearts, our team chopped more tomatoes and cabbage today than we've likely seen in a lifetime. We're truly in awe of the incredible work DC Central Kitchen does, day in and day out, to support people in need across Washington, D.C. Abdi is currently studying Computer Science at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and joins the Jair Lynch team through the Urban Alliance #AlumniInternshipProgram. With the workforce evolving, Jair Lynch recognizes the importance of preparing the next generation for success in fields like #commercialrealestate. Partnering with Urban Alliance, a leading nonprofit supporting student development since 1996, Jair Lynch is committed to empowering young talent through programs like the High School Internship Program (HSIP), the Alumni Internship Program, and the Property Management Pathway. Together, we provide hands-on experience, mentorship, and valuable skills training, ensuring students thrive in their careers. We're thrilled to share in the excitement of receiving the CMAA National Capital Chapter's Project Achievement Award for Building of the Year in the $150M+ category for the new Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Office Headquarters in Alexandria, VA! This achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and collaboration of our team at #JairLynchRealEstatePartners, along with our incredible partners at Procon Consulting. As the fee developers for #WMATA on both their DC and VA headquarters projects, we are honored to contribute to the creation of two modern, innovative, and sustainable buildings. This 425,000 SF facility in Alexandria, designed to meet LEED Gold standards, includes 10 floors of offices, collaborative spaces, and specialized equipment for metro safety monitoring. We're grateful for the opportunity to work on such impactful projects and proud to be part of a team that prioritizes excellence and sustainability in office development. Echoing #Procon, we are also proud of the project's recognition from the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Washington for Excellence in Office Development and the acclaim for the FreelandBuck art installation, Tunnel Vision, which has captured the attention of the design community and local media.
