Pennant makes videos – that seems relatively clear. But what does “mid-funnel focused video marketing” mean? It’s on our business cards, after all… We’re glad you asked! Seriously, people ask us that all the time, and we’re always happy to explain. But today, we’re stepping back and letting our very own (and very first) Explainer video do the hard work for us. It explains what we do, sure. But more importantly, it’s a demonstration of the power of the mid-funnel and a living example of what we do for our clients with every video we make. From discovery and creative direction to execution, animation and sonic identity, Pennant will galvanize your mid-funnel so you can outplay your rivals. Plus it looks pretty amazing, right? Video continues to dominate other content types and drive more business by comparison – that’s just a fact. You need video. We need video. Video is the most powerful medium for engagement today. But this is where it gets tricky. The what, the how and the why of video all vary greatly. From project to project, industry to industry, platform to platform. And those variances depend on your needs, but more importantly on the needs of your audience. 𝙐𝙡𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙮, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙞𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 😅 (Sorry, we realize that may be hard to hear. But you already know this, to some degree, so let’s keep it moving.) Great marketing videos – which is to say videos that capture people’s attention, that entertain or enlighten, and that work on behalf of your business’ goals – have to add value to the audience’s life. And that value is different from the value your solution has to solving the customer’s problem. It’s an annoying but extremely important distinction. So, the what, the how and the why of a particular video can vary depending on the audience and where in their journey to conversion they are. Thankfully, our new ebook describes how to address these variances in a somewhat predictable way: “𝙁𝙐𝙉𝙉𝙀𝙇 𝙁𝙊𝘾𝙐𝙎𝙀𝘿: 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙑𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙤 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙒𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙩 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙪𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙡” When you apply what you know about the customer journey a la the funnel, you’re able to concentrate your video efforts. Because you’re better prepared to make the right content for the right audience and deliver it at the right time. In this guide, we’ll talk you through the exact what, why and how for every stage of the customer journey. So you can better serve your audience and better serve your business with great videos. If you’re a brand marketer, product marketer, or customer advocacy marketer, this guide is for you. It’s free (and un-gated) at the link below: https://lnkd.in/eWz7y8FM What is your big takeaway related to video marketing, the buyer’s journey, and the funnel?

We talk a lot – as in, don’t get us started – about our video marketing Trifecta. What it is, how it works, why it matters. But here’s the thing: it wouldn’t be possible without Motion Design. See, Pennant works hard on behalf of our clients. We strategize and develop eye-catching visuals and collaborate on engaging and unique stories to tell for brands. And, in turn, our clients have hard-working, championship-grade videos to galvanize their sales efforts. That’s a winning combination. But how exactly do these videos perform so well in the highest leverage situations? If you guessed MOTION DESIGN, then it looks like we’re all winners here! Well-crafted motion grabs attention, makes a message memorable, and creates a strong emotional connection with your audience. Plus, it's versatile, modern, and perfect for simplifying complex ideas, setting you apart from rivals. We’re obviously big backers of the craft, so we’re pumped to be named ‘Finalist’ in the prestigious Collision Awards across five categories: Promotion Art Direction Brand Identity Motion Design Products & Services We love that the platform is solely dedicated to honoring excellence in Animation and Motion Design. Now, we compete for the Gold as well as Audience Choice, voted on by you. 👉 Be part of our fan base and vote now through July 11. Your support is our winning shot! We know that video moves the needle, but let’s be clear about how we use that word: ‘Video’ is not some singular thing. And when we talk about it, we’re actually talking about many different video types and the myriad problems they can address. We’re talking strategies, social, teams, budgets and on and on… If this sounds annoyingly complicated, then now you’re beginning to get a clear idea of why the Penannt team created this handy resource: “𝙁𝙐𝙉𝙉𝙀𝙇 𝙁𝙊𝘾𝙐𝙎𝙀𝘿: 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙑𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙤 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙒𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙩 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙪𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙡” It’s your guide to understanding and maximizing each and every touch point on a customer’s journey into your brand. “What's right in front of you – whether you can see it or not – is a world of limitless possibilities.” That’s a lofty claim for any video to make in its opening lines, but in context it’s perfectly logical. Dubious? Here’s a little backstory. When Nasuni approached us in the throes of their rebrand, the Pennant team quickly identified a handful of business challenges we could help them resolve and goals we could help them achieve: • Differentiation in a crowded marketplace • Connection with their audience’s world and empathy for their situation • Scalable awareness for their new visual identity So, we recommended a sexy, sizzly Anthem video. Why? Because, well, what’s sexier than file data management? Seriously though, the impact Nasuni’s customers have in the real world is really something to share. And Nasuni’s work as a fluid data platform for enterprises facing an explosion of unstructured data in an AI-driven world is at the core of what makes that impact possible. And you know what? We think that’s pretty sexy and sizzly! Because, when it comes to customer data, fluid is smarter than rigid because that fluidity removes potential limitations in the development, design, and execution processes. But back to the video at hand… We developed this piece to do some hard work on Nasuni’s behalf. Through industry-specific storytelling, it taps into the scale and range of their impact, expresses the aspirational energy of their rebrand, and captures the theme of fluid motion exemplified by their solution. And the custom music score and flourishes of motion design serve to amplify all the vibes. So, as you enjoy Nasuni’s 2024 Anthem video, remember this: Your world without limits is waiting for you. Our EP probably said it best, but from pre-pro planning through post and client review, “we work together to create work as satisfying as the most important meal of the day.”* Check out these BTS stills from our shoot with Revolution Cooking at our favorite Peerspace in Ipswich, MA. We came, we shot, we celebrated with some of the finest North Shore pizza (IYKYK) 🍕 And, on top of all that, we got to spend the day with some of our favorite folks from Lame Productions. It was a great day, but the most delicious outcome? We collaborated directly with the client to produce a fresh Explainer video for their new line of connected devices. Go to revcook.com to see it out working in the wild. 🔊 Pro tip: volume on to hear Chris Plante’s banger of a custom backtrack. Now, who's hungry to make memorable mid-funnel marketing videos? 🎥 *Sorry, Tim – we paraphrased your post for brevity. But we worked hard to retain and express your undying appreciation for b̶r̶e̶a̶k̶f̶a̶s̶t̶ the creative process. And yes, we’ll take that mimosa you offered. 🥂 📸 Allison Sepanek

Some believe the universe began with a great cosmic sound. Others believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But not since Pavlov have the power of sound and the power of breakfast been so powerfully connected. So, yes… definitely unmute for this one 🔊 Because sometimes a sound is more than just a sound. Sometimes it’s a direct conduit to what surprises, delights and turns your audience from consumers of perfect toast into highly-engaged superfans. For the uninitiated, Revolution Cooking is all about bringing joy and ingenuity to cooking, combining design and technology to elevate everyday experiences. But for their audience, it goes way beyond the product, the tech, and even the toast. It’s the chime. With good reason, too! It’s an infinitely charming, stunningly simple, perfectly pitched sound that accompanies its users’ most important meals. And in the hands of a composer like Chris Plante at CP Pro Audio, that tiny piece of RevCook’s sonic identity becomes the backbone of a fully-formed banger. Honestly, this Explainer video is the raison d’etre for why we prefer to custom score all our work. It’s strategic, it elicits an emotional response, and maybe – just maybe – it connects the video to something bigger. Like the beginning of the universe, the first meal of the day, or a brand’s ability to tap into the energy of its advocates and superfans. So, listen close, and if you want to explore what sound can do on behalf of your brand, let’s talk. But in the meantime… who’s hungry? When we started Pennant last year, we made a conscious decision to center ourselves around sustainability. Because there’s a two-fold truth that we’ve learned after partnering with numerous energy, greentech and other mission-driven organizations over the years: Sustainability always wins. And it’s not just the incredible work these pioneering companies are doing to support our planet and future generations – that’s the first, most important piece. There’s a second, much more business-y layer to it, which is that sustainability stories, when told well, make for incredibly effective marketing. So, we've crafted a ton of videos targeting that crucial mid-funnel audience about energy efficiency and sustainability, much to the delight of our clients and their customers. That’s how we, as marketing storytellers, are able to support and expand the important work they’re doing. Take Consigli Construction Co., Inc., for example. They’re a fifth-generation leader in construction management in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Right here in our backyard in Somerville, their teams are tackling two projects just a couple of miles apart, using innovative strategies to meet complex sustainability goals. Check out the video below to see these cutting-edge projects in action. For our fellow marketers, here’s the playbook: If your brand champions sustainability, make sure your audience knows it—because they probably care about it too. Creating content around this topic will help you connect with them. But here's the thing: don't just talk the talk without walking the walk. Avoid ‘greenwashing’ by ensuring your sustainability efforts are real and impactful. Transparency and authenticity are like a strong defense in sports—they build trust with your audience and lead to lasting relationships beyond the marketing hype. So, is sustainability part of your marketing game plan? CREDITS: Creative Director: Leo Bonarrigo DP: Alex Lopez, Bottle Tree Pictures Writer/Editor: David Riemer EP: Tim Bradley

On two projects just two miles apart from each other in Somerville, our teams are using cutting-edge strategies to help clients achieve complex #sustainability goals. Boynton Gateway in Union Square and 74 Middlesex in Assembly Row are both pursuing advanced green building standards and employ a variety of innovative methods, such as collecting and repurposing rainwater and live, green roofs. Watch the video below to hear more about these state-of-the-art projects, and read more about how Consigli's sustainability team goes the extra mile to support creating a greener, and more sustainable, built environment: https://lnkd.in/edR3tfc7 Cannon Hill Capital Partners CV Properties, LLC Greystar #GenuineBuilders
