  • Fundraising in 2025 will be defined by navigating a mix of challenges and opportunities. With the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act expiring, nonprofits may soon have a chance to engage donors with new tax benefits, such as a potential charitable deduction for non-itemizers. Meanwhile, the rise of donor-advised funds (DAFs)—already accounting for nearly 10% of total giving—offers promise but requires strategic outreach to tap into their potential. As artificial intelligence evolves, it’s becoming a key tool for fundraisers, but it comes with complexities. While AI can streamline processes and reengage donors, studies show many donors remain wary of its use, requiring nonprofits to balance innovation with trust. The ongoing decline in everyday donors remains a critical issue, threatening to reshape the giving landscape unless nonprofits prioritize reconnecting with smaller donors. Encouragingly, GivingTuesday saw a 7% increase in participation, offering hope for reversing this trend. All of this unfolds against a backdrop of economic uncertainty, with many nonprofits still recovering from the pandemic and financial strain forcing some to scale back or shut down entirely. To thrive, nonprofits must innovate, adapt to donor preferences, and build resilience in the face of these challenges. Let’s work together to ensure a strong and sustainable future for the sector! 💪 #Fundraising2025 #NonprofitInnovation #GivingTuesday #AIandDAFs #NonprofitSustainability
