We believe — unequivocally — that forced migrants, asylum seekers, refugees, and displaced people should be treated with respect and provided access to care and support along their journey to safety without prejudice or discrimination. Throughout South and Central America, we are providing physical and mental health care to families fleeing violence, women who have been forced to go without health services, and children who need a place to rest after a long journey to their new home. We are committed to providing essential health services to anyone fleeing conflict, climate emergencies, or persecution. We stand for understanding, acceptance, and care, not only as an organization, but as members of a shared, global community.

Access to sexual, reproductive, and maternal health isn't just a necessity — it is a fundamental human right. Women and girls deserve reliable health care access, and we are committed to supporting them in their fight for essential and quality care. Around the globe, Project HOPE stands with clinic, hospital, and medical facility teams who are ensuring all patients and program participants have the care they need and deserve. Our Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child Health (RMNCH) programming spans 19 countries and is focused on providing lifesaving care and long-term support as women and girls navigate the complexities of finding and receiving care. In conflict zones, in rural areas, and in care facilities around the globe, our teams are there. Our global RMNCH team members will continue to work ceaselessly to provide women and girls with care, support, and ongoing empowerment to access what is rightfully theirs. Ukrainian ambulance teams have demonstrated extraordinary resilience and commitment since the full-scale invasion in February 2022. In two and a half years, these dedicated individuals have had to adapt quickly in the face of unprecedented difficulties, refining their skills to meet the compounding demands of their work. Their courageous efforts in the Dnipropetrovska oblast to meet the challenges of providing care in a war zone deserve special recognition. Supporting the national evacuation and emergency medical care system remains a key priority for Project HOPE. In coordination with USAID - Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, we’ve donated three fully equipped Type C ambulances with essential medicines, fuel, repairs and maintenance. This contribution, along with the donation of winter EMS uniforms for all ambulance crews in Dnipropetrovska oblast, was made possible through the support of the USAID’s BHA within the EACAP program.

No matter what the coming days, weeks, or months hold, we remain steadfast in our belief that everyone, everywhere deserves hope for a better, healthier future. At Project HOPE, we believe that: • Everyone deserves access to health care – period. • Health workers are the backbone of our global community and must have the support they need to do their critical work. • Women deserve uninterrupted access to safe and stable sexual, reproductive, and maternal health care. • Mental health support is essential for not only an individual’s health, but the health of our shared, global collective. • People fleeing violence, persecution, or disaster should be welcomed and provided access to health care along their journey to safety without prejudice or discrimination. • The climate crisis is a health crisis. • Only lasting peace will create conditions for a better, healthier future for all.

I just returned from an incredibly inspiring trip to Egypt, where we celebrated the 25th anniversary of the #Gaucher Initiative - a collaboration between Project HOPE and Sanofi. It was my first trip to Egypt, and let’s just say it did not disappoint- it was indeed profound, emotional, and humbling. After two decades in the global health space, stepping back into the clinical environment brought me closer to the deeply personal impact of our work, reigniting my commitment to this mission and the lives it touches every day. Over the past 25 years, this program has transformed lives for so many living with Gaucher disease. Through relentless commitment from medical experts, compassionate care from doctors, and the tireless work of Sanofi and our Project HOPE Egypt team, this initiative has made a real difference, offering hope and dignity to those affected by this rare disease. Special thanks to the amazing doctors, expert medical committees, and the teams who make it all possible - your dedication and expertise have been the backbone of this journey. Here’s to the next 25 years of even greater impact and innovation in patient care! In Gaza, Project HOPE’s medical teams are on the ground, providing lifesaving care directly to displaced families. Our seven mobile units bring free healthcare and mental health support to communities in Deir al Balah and Khan Younis, reaching families where hospitals and facilities no longer stand. "While our mobile medical teams will provide vital care to people with nowhere else to turn, preventable deaths will continue until we see both an immediate ceasefire and a significant expansion of humanitarian aid and access." - Rabih Torbay, President & CEO Each unit is staffed with doctors, nurses, midwives, and mental health specialists, bringing essential care directly to displacement camps. Project HOPE is doing what we can to help but the only way to alleviate suffering is for the violence to end. Read more on our program expansion in Gaza: https://lnkd.in/grKmV7e6

When displacement stretches from months to years, mental health support is vital, especially for seniors adapting to life away from home. At Project HOPE, our dedicated psychologists—many of whom are refugees themselves—are helping refugees navigate these challenges with care and compassion. Through our partners, we're providing specialized mental health care through art therapy, yoga, language classes, and one-on-one counseling. Together, we're creating spaces where senior refugees can find stability and community. To support this work and our mental health initiatives around the globe head to https://lnkd.in/gNDtFiRc

In the devastating wake of Hurricane Helene, dedicated staff from Vecinos, a free charitable clinic that Project HOPE directly supports, went door-to-door to check on 700 at-risk patients, many of whom are uninsured or underinsured. In the aftermaths, many were left without basic necessities – no power, water, or way to call for help. Project HOPE stepped in to provide immediate relief, supplying essential hygiene items to Vecinos. Project HOPE is developing plans for long-term collaboration with the clinic to ensure vital healthcare services reach these isolated and underserved communities. Amid the escalating violence in Lebanon, families are being forced from their homes with little more than they can carry. Project HOPE is on the ground, delivering urgent assistance where it's needed most. Our team is distributing essentials—pillows, blankets, and more—to families sheltering in public schools, now makeshift refuges for countless displaced people. While these supplies may seem basic, they offer a bit of relief and comfort to those who have had to leave everything behind. We must ensure aid can make it to the people who need it most. We must continue our demands for the end to the violence. To learn more about our emergency response in Lebanon or to support our work, head to https://lnkd.in/gzZxanFM
