In Memoriam: Miguel Sánchez It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Miguel Sánchez, a cherished member of our team and community. Miguel’s roles were many: a dedicated board member of the Transformers Foundation, the innovative technology lead at Kingpins, a skilled engineer, a profound chemist, and an unparalleled expert in denim. Beyond his professional achievements, he was a mentor, a teacher, a devoted husband, a loving father, and so much more. Miguel’s legacy extends far beyond his work, touching the lives of friends, family, colleagues, and countless individuals whom he inspired and guided. We will miss Miguel deeply. In honor of his memory, Andrew Olah has penned a tribute on the Kingpins Show website, reflecting on Miguel’s profound influence on the denim industry and the impact he had on all of us. This marks a significant step towards fostering accountability and ethical practices within the fashion sector.👖🌿 The EDC's investigation revealed a buyer guilty of breaching several of its Eight Ethical Principles, which were developed by the Transformers Foundation's. Beyond his professional achievements, Miguel was known for his warmth, humour and generosity. He was not only an expert in his field but also a mentor, teacher, father, husband and friend. His guidance and support made a lasting impact on both his colleagues and the community at large. Miguel’s spirit and contributions will always be with us and his legacy continues to inspire us to strive for excellence and innovation in all that we do. A special mention to Maria, Miguel's daughter, for accepting this award on his behalf. Her presence and grace truly honored his memory and legacy.
