Participants in the ACE Mentor Program of Colorado Summer Camp – which included high school students from across the country – experienced a “day in the life” of an architecture firm at Tryba Architects' Denver studio. Campers had the opportunity to interact with staff while learning about design principles and City Building. The ACE Summer Camp, in partnership with the CU Denver College of Architecture and Planning, allows participants to experience career pathways in architecture, design, construction and engineering, focused on digital fabrication and sustainable design.
Construction is underway at the 12.4-acre former CoorsTek industrial site in Golden, which is being reimagined by AC Development as a new mixed-use development, Clayworks. The current demolition is making way for CoorsTek, Inc.'s highly sustainable new 180,000 SF global corporate headquarters. Portions of the historic buildings will be adaptively reused. She successfully balances a variety of roles simultaneously while serving as a key resource in the evolution of the firm’s operations and in the management of projects and staff. Her background in both architecture and urban design has given Sarah a unique understanding of complicated zoning, permitting and entitlements issues, and she plays a key role in the early stages of a project, developing strong relationships and providing thoughtful guidance throughout complex processes.
