Director at Denise Yeats Empowered Partnerships. Project Manager, Events Producer, Personal Trainer and Coach
Have you recognised the critical importance of supporting employee health during menopause? The potential impact of menopause on a workforce's productivity and wellbeing can be huge. Many women may be unaware of how their changing physiology during menopause can affect their ability to stay fit and healthy. Research suggests there have been 14million working days lost in the UK because of menopause. Six in 10 menopausal women say it has had a negative impact on their work, and 42% of women consider leaving their job because of it. Often I see women training in a way that doesn’t align with their changing bodies, working against their physiology, in an attempt to regain their confidence during this time of change. Many women may be doing too much rather than too little, and end up frustrated to find that this does the very opposite of what they want, leading to weight gain and fatigue. Yet exercising correctly, smarter, not harder has been shown to have a positive impact on body composition, mood and can help alleviate many menopausal symptoms. As a highly skilled coach and personal trainer, I specialise in empowering women to embrace their changing bodies during menopause and reclaim their vitality. I regularly deliver talks to organisations including Thames Valley Police, the Metropolitan Police, BT Group and Labcorp to help them to empower their staff in order to reach their potential. In my talks I share practical strategies to support your employees' health and wellbeing during this important life stage. From understanding hormonal shifts to implementing tailored training protocols, I help to equip employees with the knowledge and tools to Reset, Recharge and Reclaim their vitality. Get in touch with me to discuss your menopause in the workplace initiatives and how I can support you with a bespoke talk. https://lnkd.in/eYq9r-5H #MenopauseEmpowerment #SupportEmployeeHealth #WorkplaceWellness #EmployeeWellbeing #MenopauseSupport #MenopauseAwareness #HRUK #PersonnelManagement #EmployeeHealth #WorkforceProductivity #MenopauseInWorkplace #WomenInLeadership #EmpowermentTalks #MenopauseTalks #VitalityInWork #CIPD #MenopauseCoach #PersonalTrainer

According to Dr. Taz Bhatia, M.d., we need an urgent shift in how we perceive and address menopause in the workplace, with a positive focus on empowerment: "Empowering women to advocate for their health, manage stress effectively, and embrace tailored solutions will not only benefit individual careers but also contribute to fostering a more inclusive and understanding work environment." This is why menopause training and support isn't just for managers but for everyone: 👉 We can only feel empowered when we know what to look out for (not just hot flushes) 👉 Understand the real role that hormones play (not just about the end of periods) 👉 Know what your treatment options might be (not just HRT) and... 👉 Feel comfortable and safe enough to bring it up at work Dr Taz goes on to say: "The menopause dilemma should be viewed not as a setback but as an opportunity for growth, resilience, and a redefined perspective on women's health in the professional realm. It's time to navigate menopause with confidence and chart a course for continued success in the workplace." I like her outlook very much but think we’ve got plenty of work to do to get there….would love to hear your thoughts below 👇 https://lnkd.in/e34Ez2FH #menopauseintheworkplace #menopausesupport #menopauseawareness #menopausetraining

Registered Dietitian, Hormone and Menopause Specialist, Speaker empowering high achieving women over 40 to find hormonal harmony. Advocate for better Menopause care.
"Women *can* do it all, but should they?" We talked about this in my recent session with Women and Wisdom @ LinkedIn ERGs. Society often imposes these unreleastic standards on women, expecting them to excel in every facet of their lives...as mothers, partners, leaders, professionals, caregivers... This relentless pressure perpetuates the idea that for women to have it all - requires constant effort, performance, perfectionism and achievement. And it's making women sick. And we are seeing it play out big time in women's health. Menopausal symptoms are worse now than ever. Women CAN do it all. But should they? What if women began prioritizing their own self care? It's that oxygen mask thing. What would the return be for women's health? For families, communities and even her professional organization? And all of us? I'm hosting my next complimentary session Wed, March 29th at 12pm CST, "Mastering Metabolism in Menopause." This session is intended for our high performing ladies, empowering them with knowledge, tools and actionable strategies to enhance their health and manage the journey to menopause. Mastering Metabolism is not intended as another path to perfectionism, but an opportunity for women to understand the hormonal shifts that are naturally occurring. In learning how to work with them she can optimize her health, her energy and focus for the things that matter to her most, while maintaining a sense of ease and confidence in her body. And if you would also like to bring this important conversation to your women's groups, please reach out! This session was powerful and showed us just how much women are looking for resources and WANTING to connect on these themes! #executives #executivewomen #womensleadership #leadership #nutrition #hormonehealth #burnout ##foodasmedicine #stress #perfectionism #disorderedeating #mindset #strategy ##womenshealth #menopause #perimenopause

One of the biggest things I’ve observed through my free series and also in my workshops and coaching, is the space between “what menopause research” shows in terms of best practice for hormone therapy, nutrition, sleep, stress and exercise for example; and how that actually plays out in real time and real life for the woman experiencing the symptoms. With any coaching or education, it’s important to see the woman first. Her entire life’s happenings. Research is great….its piecing it together into a plan for a woman who has xyz happening, in a way that makes sense for them and helps them build habit upon habit in a realistic and empowering way, and knowing when and what referrals are needed. It’s setting priorities and seeing the woman as a whole being. It’s what gets missed in a doctors appointment. Yet it’s so needed. Add in privilege: - access to resources - access to financial means - remote locations - marginalized folks and communities - time … Coaching allows me to work with women 1-1 to help them understand their symptoms and build habits to prioritize their health and manage their symptoms. Workshops allow for broader education and building community. I believe one of the biggest and impactful ways we can reach and support more women and their loved ones is through workplace wellness initiatives. The content is ready to share. Imagine how this resource could support women even more. #menopause #perimenopause #inclusivity #humanresource #workplacewellness #corporatewellenss #womenshealthcoach

The British Standards Institution (BS) have published a new menopause and menstruation support document for employers. https://lnkd.in/e9vvQ5Fx. This guidance is aimed at providing organisations with examples and practical recommendations for the workplace enabling organisations to move their menopause support a step forward. It’s great news that this has been published as it’s another tool within a wider toolkit for organisations to use, enabling them to support their employees within the workplace. I’ve been helping organisations to develop their menopause charters, train managers & menopause champions and deliver menopause nutrition/lifestyle programmes directly to employees. It’s a wrap-around level of support for forward-thinking organisations enabling them to support and retain experienced talent & support wellbeing. #GingerGreenNutrition #menopausesupport #menopauseintheworkplace #menopauseawareness #Menopause
