‼ According to the results of the #FOICA study, 54.5% of the 77 journalists who participated in the survey assessed the content of the responses to the inquiries sent to state bodies as insufficient. According to journalists: 💬 a survey consisting of several questions is often answered in one sentence, 💬 in some cases, the answers provided are very general, not substantive, 💬 the answers sometimes resemble a pile of words, etc. 📌 According to 49.3% of journalists, responses to inquiries with numbered questions are "rarely" or "never" numbered. This indicates that information holders are either deliberately ignoring the statutory procedure for responding to a request, or are unaware of the regulation, or both. 📍 The link to the study "The right to information of journalists in Armenia-2024" is posted in the comments. It was implemented by FOICA in April 2024 within the framework of the "Media Development Program of Armenia" funded by USAID Armenia, which is implemented by Internews in Armenia. #mediaprograminarmenia, #FOICA #AccessToInformation

How do you assess the quality of an evaluation conducted in a humanitarian setting? The OECD DAC criteria may work for 'standard' evaluations, but humanitarian settings sometimes have other special considerations. ALNAP developed the Quality Proforma in 2000/2001 as a way of assessing humanitarian evaluation reports. You can check it out here: https://lnkd.in/ePZWc-Ki According to ALNAP to ensure the quality of evaluations, focus on these key areas: 📌 Clear Terms of Reference (ToR) 📌 Appropriate Evaluation Methods 📌 Contextual Analysis 📌 Assessment of the Intervention 📌 Report Clarity and Accessibility ------- Join the upcoming webinar for real world examples of evaluations conducted in humanitarian settings. The event is conducted in collaboration with The Ukrainian Evaluation Association, where Dmytro Kondratenko will share practical insights with members of the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E ) Academy.
