This past week, members of our Frost family competed in the 2024 San Antonio Sports Corporate Cup, an annual competition with other companies and organizations across the City of San Antonio. The Olympic-style tournament events included a 4x100m relay, Tug-of-War, sack races and more! Check out this recap of the event where our Frost team also won the golf-chipping contest and won the sack-race competition for the THIRD year in a row! . . . #FrostBank #ExactlyWhatYouUnexpected #sacorporatecup #sanantonio #employeewellness ---- ABOUT SAN ANTONIO SPORTS and CORPORATE CUP San Antonio Sports, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to community transformation through the influence of sports. One of the great advantages of sports is they bring people together. Let’s face it—it’s just plain fun to catch up with friends, whether watching kids in Little League or finishing a great game of pickleball or tennis and wanting to unwind and talk. In other words, the social experience is its own part of the game. If your park regularly hosts sports (for adults or youth), one of the best ways to drive engagement is to play up the enjoyable aspects of the experience. Now, ask yourself: Are your sports facilities doing the same thing? Check out a few ideas to up the fun factor and bring in the people: https://ow.ly/imEr50PVHlH #ASBA #sportsconstruction #sportsbuilders

“Give Something Back” is part of our culture, it always has been, and as we grow, we get to do more of it than ever before. Business can be a force to do good, and should not solely be measured on shareholder returns. A snapshot from this week, and just a handful of the ways we give something back to the community: ⚽️ Sponsoring Grass Root Sports like Morecambe Football Club Under 10’s. 🏉 Sponsoring University Teams like The Manchester Metropolitan University Men’s and Women’s rugby teams. 🏎️ Sponsoring our team members pursuing their dreams. 🚌 Fascilitating Community Groups, allowing them to use our transport fleet at no cost, at times they are not in use. #GiveSomethingBack #CorporateSocialResponsibility

There are many that ask what we do...and sometimes it's tough to put it in one sentence. So I thought I might show you. We connect the businesses with youth and school sports programs, to help give back to the organizations that have made us who we are today. In short...Building Stronger Kids Together...Growing Stronger Communities! #youthsports #growth

It’s been 15 years since Kingsbridge Community Sports began its journey, exploring possibilities of community-led sports facilities development, in South Birmingham. A lot has changed in this time, but the question remains, what will Birmingham City Council decide to do with Holders Lane Sports Fields? The old derelict changing block (featured in this video) has now been demolished, but little else has been done at Holders Lane in recent years. Local grassroots sports clubs still need recreational facilities for their teams. The sports fields themselves are protected through Fields in Trust, but significant investment is still needed to mitigate against the regular flooding. So what’s next? Will Birmingham City Council’s current financial crisis reopen conversations about a collaborative partnership with local community groups, or will the open spaces once entrusted to the Council for the benefit of local communities; be eventually sold for development? Last night was our "Champion's Club" event for Sport Central. I have been on the Board of SC for, I don't know, 8 years or so and sitting my likely last term. The event was a Q & A with Mattias Ekholm and his wife Ida Bjornstad. Dare I say Ida stole the show with passionate commentary about the power of sport in society. Her two asks: 1) we keep sport affordable and 2) we keep sport fun. I think about these two things often. I think about the "spiraling up" of youth sport; the camps, private coaching, etc... and how that impacts the desire to be involved of athletes who that is not in the cards for. I don't have a solution, but I think of "inclusivity" and of all the things that may make people feel excluded - whether it be the matching tracksuits for a few hundred bucks or the feeling you are being left behind because you cannot partake in the "extracurriculars" the rest of the team does. I also think about the bias to "high performance" as the goal of sport; I certainly have that. But much of the value of sport can be found at all levels. Organizations, teams and such need to find pathways to keep kids involved and bonus points if they don't feel like a failure to go on that diverging stream. Finally, to see Mattias and Ida, I am reminded how great having a true partner as, well, a partner is. If you want to be part of the mission: "“Building better people is the goal, sport is the vehicle." then see below! https://lnkd.in/gUPrbN2N

Empowering Youth Through Football | Former Pro Footballer | Passionate About Strategy, Sustainability, and Growth in Sports |
🏆 Breaking Records & Building Community: A peek at the Fan Engagement Strategy I worked on for Notodden Fotballklubb 🔵 As a passionate for football and Sports Strategy, I had the incredible opportunity to develop a fan engagement strategy for Notodden Fotballklubb (NFK). The results? Phenomenal! 🚀 As a student at Geneva Business School I started working on a school project that I continued for NFK! Even leading them to break a club record! 👥 Community at the Heart: We brought to life one of the initiatives that put the NFK community at the forefront. The club organized a community game before the A-team match, as well as a buzzing fan zone in partnership with their sponsor Notodden Energi AS. The result was a staggering 33% increase in fan attendance compared to the season's average! 📈 🏆 Breaking Records: Thanks to this initiative, Notodden FK has broken a club record for revenue per spectator in that game! And a great 3-0 win, showcasing the power of community engagement in sports. 🙏 A Special Thanks: A huge shoutout to Jonny Pettersen, the chairman of the club, and the entire club for not only allowing me to work on this, but also actually implementing the ideas we made. Seeing this project come to life is a proud moment for me. Also, a thank you to Geneva Business School for starting this journey as a school project, which I then pursued with a lot of excitement. 💡 Looking Ahead: This project wasn't just an assignment, it was a journey of learning, innovation, and community engagement. Although just in the beginning stages, I'm looking forward to more of the results the club will get in the next coming season! #fanengagement #communityengagement #nfk #strategyconsulting

I advise, coach, and provide business strategy to CEO’s, leaders and Leadership Teams. We implement change through workgroups, leadership development training, remastered sales teams, and companies ready to scale.
One of the blind spots leaders and leadership teams commonly share is remembering to serve the communities that serve their businesses. Eliminate this blind spot easily by forming a workgroup and invite anyone in the organization to attend that has an interest in helping to find a way to serve your community or communities. The clients I serve have launched so many innovative ideas. Most are not expensive and have a dramatic ROI on revenue gains, recruiting, and employee retention. School lunch support for under privileged children, building inner city playgrounds, internships, and many more. The WestJet example below is how bigger enterprises do it. You should do it to…

Mid week motivation is here with the #StoriesFromTheGrassroots. Building a successful grassroots tournament takes more than stumps & whistles. Organising grassroots tournaments can be a wild ride, but the sense of community it builds makes it all worthwhile. At Pavilion, we help craft hyperlocal sporting events that celebrate participation, unearth talent, create heroes and bring people together. There's a special kind of magic at a grassroots tournament, we don't just see games, we see communities coming alive. The Experience: 1. The Early Scramble: Spreading awareness and signing up everyone to be a part of what they love, in a more structured yet traditional manner. 2. The Unexpected Heroes: That volunteer who swoops in to solve communication in the local tongue, solves logistical problems and fixes an uneven ground (and our sanity too). 3. The Heartwarming Moments: The pure joy on an athlete's face after their first wicket, sixer or goal, a memory etched forever. The Challenges: 1. Mother Nature's Curveballs: Rain delays, scorching sun – we adapt, improvise, and overcome (sometimes with a healthy dose of clever jugaad जुगाड़) 2. The Competitive Spirit (Maybe a Little Too Strong): Learning to navigate friendly rivalries that occasionally get a bit heated. 3. The Last-Minute Jitters: A missing jersey, a forgotten bat – reminding ourselves that a smooth plan is just a dream, and we're the dreamers. The Fun Times: 1. The Relentless Renegades: Witnessing a never-give-up attitude team that rises to the occasion, proving heart matters more than rankings. 2. The Community Cheers: The roar of the crowd, a mix of parents, friends, and neighbours, all united by the love of the game. 3. The Post-Tournament Glow: The exhaustion that comes with a day well spent, knowing we've created something special. The grassroots grind is real, but the rewards are immeasurable. Pavilion is helping navigate the chaos, celebrate the victories, and build lasting memories—one tournament at a time. Let's chat about making your grassroots sport dreams a reality! 🚀✨It’s time. 🚀✨ It’s time for us to really take a closer look at the impact that sports can have on the world. Front Office Sports shared that Super Bowl LVIII brought an audience of 123.4 million—it made HISTORY. + gofos.co/3SWo74n 123.4 million. • what are people watching? • who are they watching? • what are they hearing? My brother Timothy F. Bryson takes us around the world to think internalionnally about sports & student-athletes. My brother Amobi Okugo helps us think about finances and partnership in sports. Now is the time. Let’s go bigger. Let’s think community uplift, community development, K-12 improvement, the eradication of marginalization. If everyone gave 1 quarter… .25cents during the game. What could that do? Simple = yes. Achievable = yes. Barriers = none. If legal barriers= why? 🤔 Each one, reach one. It’s time to win championships for & with empowerment in mind, too 🚀 #BiggerThanSports | #NFL | #communitybuilding | #StudentSuccess | #sportsbiz
