🎉🎊 Celebrating David's 50th Anniversary at Graystone! 🎊🎉 Join us in congratulating David on an incredible milestone – 50 years of dedicated service at Graystone! 👓✨ David's journey began in 1974 when, at just 19 years old, he joined us as a licensed optician after graduating from Durham Technical Community College. 🏫🎓 At the time, Durham Tech was one of only four schools in the nation offering the optician program! 🌟 David originally planned to study agriculture at NC State, but destiny had other plans. Being a lifelong glasses wearer and with a promising career ahead, he chose the path of an optician – and we are so grateful he did! 🌾➡️👓 Over the years, David has become a beloved figure in the Graystone community, serving families for up to four generations! 👨👩👧👦 His memories of our first office, complete with water fountains in the lobby, remind us how far we've come. 🚰🏢 David's incredible journey is a testament to his work ethic, instilled in him from a young age growing up on a farm in Hickory. 🚜💪 He credits the supportive doctors at Graystone for allowing him to grow and expand his skills, maintaining a family-like atmosphere for both patients and staff. 🏥❤️ With the national average tenure being just over four years, David's 50 years at Graystone is truly extraordinary. 🌟 His dedication has profoundly impacted countless lives, preserving the gift of sight and improving patient care every day. 👀💖 David's passion for his work remains unwavering. He says, “I still enjoy the job and taking care of patients. As long as I feel useful, I’ll keep working.” 🩺✨ We are immensely grateful for David's contributions and proud to celebrate his remarkable career in his hometown, close to his family. 🏡👨👩👧👦 Here's to David – a true example of dedication, care, and excellence! 🥂🎉 Thank you for 50 fantastic years, David! 🌟👏 #GraystoneFamily #MilestoneAnniversary #DedicatedService #OpticianLife #CelebratingDavid #50YearsStrong #ThankYouDavid

Sitting courtside watching Dr. Ingrid Murra build Two Front has been one of the most inspiring things I've ever witnessed for three key reasons. 1. She. Does. Not. Stop. Grit (n) defined as "courage and resolve" simply doesn't do justice to the 24/7, 365 nature of 'hardcare obsession' Ingrid brings to her business. She IS Two Front, and every 5-star patient rating, 'You've been paid' email sent to dentists multiple times per day, and touchpoint you see online is nothing less than years of blood, sweat, and tears poured into cracking a business model that will one day be featured in no less than HBR, Forbes, WSJ, and the like. 2. Fierce Positivity Things get DIRE when you're building a business. I've seen it firsthand. Breaking point? How about breaking POINTS. And not just once in a while, but sometimes weekly during a tough season. Despite these challenging moments, Ingrid has a superhero-like ability to wake up spry, positive, and ready to shine brighter than the sun pretty much every day. If she's struggling, she surrounds herself with coaches, mentors, and friends who lift her up. There's no such thing as perfection, but there is such thing as finding your formula; Ingrid has cracked her formula for getting back up and dusting herself off when the universe doesn't turn lemons into lemonade; she also knows that's her responsibility and owns it. 3. Deep Caring For Her Team For Ingrid, her team is family. Full stop. This doesn't mean there isn't conflict - because of course there is - startup is war - but nothing is transactional and it makes a world of difference. It's easy to be cold and callus when you're in battle mode, but when a challenge emerges that she needs support with, she pulls in her coaches and advisors so she can navigate with love. We've seen centuries of businessmen who have written books, espoused 'how it's done' and provided examples to the world about the 'right' way to do things. But it's a new time with new rules and Ingrid is writing her own book. Maybe one day she'll put it down in ink and share it with us, so we can all learn how she did the impossible.
Feeling insanely grateful this Friday. Nine years ago I was an orthodontic resident in my tiny apartment in Boston who couldn’t sleep for 6 months (and I normally sleep like a bear) when I realized our industry was broken from every angle. I saw how much orthodontists and dentists were hurting when it came to offering this service that I spent my entire life working to be great at, so that I could help people be their best selves. I saw that if we kept practicing the way dentists and orthodontists currently practice, we were never going to be happy—I was really understanding the reason why we have the highest suicide rate of any profession—and we were never going to make our patients happy. I had no background in business. It took a lot of painful moments to get here — and nine years later I’m pinching myself seeing that I have the most epic team with the most aligned values who are hungry to serve and improve the lives of our dentists, orthodontists and patients. In a nutshell—our team cares. We care about fixing problems and creating a better world for the dental industry and ultimately making everyone happier. I had to take this screenshot this morning as we celebrated everyone’s wins for the week. Grateful 🫶 Mike Margolis Valerie Dangler Kherri Jean Kylie Davis Tanner Hamblin

Was my 1000 days with Nas Company even worth it? Last Monday, I reached a thousand days with Nas Company and I started to reflect if it was worth my time despite being a license away from officially being a Dentist. Here’s what I found: Throughout this incredible journey, I’ve learned that my time at Nas Company has been invaluable. It’s not just about the days but the.. #1 Colleagues and students who turned into friends — relationships I’ve built with people from different parts of the world. #2 Countless opportunities for growth — multiple opportunities and challenges I’ve never imagined of conquering and championing. #3 And the skills I’ve learned and honed along the way. While my journey here might seem unconventional in the context of the dental field, it’s a testament that anyone can pivot. Anyone can be good at something they’ve never done before. Cheers to the people who’ve helped teach and mentor me to be who I am today: Nur Sofia Ismail Jacq Lim Nathalia Cermino Beatriz Gonzales Mayank Khaitan Dalvin G. Tze Lin Chew Stephanie Sheriff Samanvaya Pant Alex Dwek Aroushi Murthy Kelvin P Eunice Chua Shamila Zaidi Raghuveer Nishtala 💜 David Hoe +++ all the students i’ve interacted with and all the teams I’ve been a part of. I’m excited to continue this journey of growth and transformation. It’s a reminder that no matter your background or industry, with dedication and the right mindset, you can thrive and make an impact wherever you are. Here’s to the next thousand days of even greater achievements! 🚀

The mismatch between our dream of dentistry and the reality of dentistry is overwhelmingly disappointing. Like Dr. Hamza (@mogaj) said it’s because our expectations are “out of whack”. If you follow Dr. Hamza on Instagram you’ll see how honest and vulnerable his about his career and his followers love him for it. He’s been able to create a safe and accepting community that just keeps growing. Check out our episode to learn more about Dr. Hamza and how being a transparent and personable dentist is better for you and your patients. #dentistry #careerdevelopment #personaldevelopment #patientcare

#healthcare #innovations #petcare #femalefounder #tech Welcome Ailie Birchfield, Founder of PawCare. How can you ensure your pet doesn't miss a vaccination or receives the right vitamins? You use PawCare. PawCare is on a mission to make trusted pet care easy and accessible for all. Pet care services in the United States is a $40B industry, with 197,000 pet care providers and 425MM appointments completed yearly. Yet, the most basic experience of booking pet care services is broken. For pet parents, finding, booking, and managing pet care appointments are a huge headache. To top it all, there is a lack of a connected experience between pet parents and pet care providers causing friction for everyone in the ecosystem. Providers lose money all the time due to no-shows and cancellations. 40% of bookings happen after hours when providers are closed. Additionally, providers don’t have the business acumen to think holistically about retaining their clients. PawCare is the first connected discovery, booking, and appointment management platform for both pet parents and pet care providers. Using an empathetic mobile-first customer experience, pet parents can easily find, book, and manage their pet care appointments. They can set up their pets’ profiles, manage pet records, track provider and service history, etc. PawCare becomes the only platform they will need to manage their pet care needs. Service providers, on the other hand, get a full calendar with bookings coming their way 24/7. They get paid whether no-shows or cancellations; their brand is represented on the PawCare marketplace where they get access to a network of pet parents; they finally have a connected platform to streamline their front-of-the-house operations, fully connected to their customers’ journeys.
We are delighted to welcome Ailie Birchfield, Founder of PawCare, to WE Global as a distinguished member of our Antares Fellowship program. Patterson Regional DSO Conference April 12th Nice job Patterson! Great event and nice to hear from Stephen Thorne, Brian A. Colao, and a few other industry experts. Took home quite a few nuggets!! Appreciated the opportunity to share Bluetree Dental's story. Been an interesting journey. The focus has always bee on developing ways we can find the perfect balance between prioritizing both clinical and business principles as well as creating partnerships where there is a strong feeling of sound governance and accountability (relational responsibility). Both are components of any dental group built to last. I touched on: Our Board and Committees Structure Our Mission, Vision, and Values An Operating Agreement (Built on Our Values) Our Guidelines to Ownership Our Guidelines to Continued Ownership Our Conditions of Partner Satisfaction Our Group Operating System Creating a Decision Tree and 4P’s of Decision Making Our Practice CAREguide (Principles of Practice Success) as well as the vision for the future and the story of Bluetree that is still unwritten..... #patterson #dso #practiceleadership #principlesofpracticesuccess #principlesofpartnershipsuccess

Froedtert Transportation Issues Project: Through my #launch class this project, my team and I worked with Froedtert Clinic Manager, @chrystalotto on finding a solution to missed and late appointments at Froedtert due to patients' lack of transportation. By the end of the project, we decided to add a section to MyChart asking patients whether or not they needed transportation to their appointment and help facilitate transportation for patients who need it. This project helped me learn more about the financial side to healthcare, like how there are specific budgets and how different positions can approve different amounts of money. My human skill that I chose to work on was flexibility, and this project helped me work on this skill because our team had to work through various unexpected problems. For example, we had originally settled on the idea to buy shuttles for Froedtert to pick up patients who needed a ride to their appointment, but eventually had to scrap that idea because it was not feasible and too costly. Although it was tough to change our idea at first, by being flexible to other ideas, we were able to come up with another solution.
