Strong public/private alliances and green cluster way of work is necessary to reduce #Co2emissions in #aviation. At #zerac24 Zero Emission Regional Aviation Conference 2024 in Oslo yesteerday, André Küüsvek, President & CEO of Nordic Investment Bank, gave a presentation on financing the transition, followed by a panel with Birger Steen (Nordic Semiconductor), Simon McNamara (Heart Aerospace), and Børge Noddeland (Enova SF) on investments and financial support. The key hurdle is access to green power where it is needed. One more confirmation of Nordic Investment Bank focus on #greenenergy #hydropower #electricgrid is important. A great thanks to the organizers – in particular Avinor with Abraham Foss and Olav Mosvold Larsen The Federation of Norwegian Industries Civil Aviation Authority Norway Samferdselsdepartementet SINTEF for building stronger alliances!

Looking forward to contributing to several stages of the project! We will work on: 📃 Issuing of technical specifications for the LH2 direct refuelling procedure according to the current safety regulation rules 💧 Integration of an LH2 fuel tank on board and refuelling bay in an experimental P.180 "iron bird" ✈ Experimental testing phase on a dedicated stand at Milan Malpensa airport The objective is to develop two pioneering ground-based refuelling solutions (“direct refuelling” and “tank swap”) that will contribute to reducing the environmental impact of the aviation sector. #piaggioaerospace #ALRIGH2T #HorizonEU #CleanAviation ALRIGH2T EU Project
🌟🚀 Excited to announce the launch of ALRIGH2T EU Project, a Horizon Europe project driving innovation in aviation refuelling! With nearly 10 M€ in funding over 48 months, our collaborative effort aims to develop cutting-edge ground-based refuelling solutions for liquid hydrogen (LH2), paving the way for climate-neutral propulsion systems. Led by ENEA, the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development, #ALRIGH2T brings together a diverse consortium of 21 partners from across Europe and Israel. 🤝 Our goal? To tackle the aviation sector's environmental impact by revolutionizing refuelling processes and technologies. 🌍 Stay tuned for updates as we work towards a greener, more sustainable future for #aviation! ✈️ #ALRIGH2T #AviationIndustry #HorizonEU #CleanAviation #GreenTech #ZeroEmissions ENEA | Zabala Innovation Europe | AIT Austrian Institute of Technology | Groupe ADP | Piaggio Aerospace | Linde | Salzburger Aluminium Group | TEST-FUCHS | ATENA | IAI - Israel Aerospace Industries | DigiSky | TLD | Universal Hydrogen | Groupe Europe Handling | Amelia (by Regourd Aviation) | SEA Milan Airports | SINTEF | INERIS | Technical University of Munich | CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency

RIX #RigaAirport was proud to participate in the Tech Tour European Hydrogen Valleys 2024 programme in Riga, emphasizing the critical role of hydrogen in driving innovation across the #aviation sector. During the event, Member of the Board of Riga Airport Normunds Feierbergs showcased Riga Airport as a prime location for testing hydrogen technologies, highlighting our involvement in the Interreg Baltic Sea Region project BSR HyAirport, where we collaborate with 16 partners from Scandinavia, the Baltic States, Poland, and Germany, focused on creating the preconditions for the use of green hydrogen in aviation: "Our goal is to achieve Net Zero by 2035. We invite innovative companies to use our airport as a testing ground for hydrogen production, refueling, and hydrogen-powered equipment, including heavy-duty transport vehicles. RIX Riga Airport - your sandbox for hydrogen technology testing - is closer than expected.” #HydrogenInnovation #NetZero #SustainableAviation #BSRHyAirport #RigaAirport #sustainability

At HeliOIS, we actively support the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We’re actively working to protect planet A – and we know what you’re thinking: How can a company working with fossil-fuelled aircraft talk about sustainable development? Here’s why. Installing, maintaining, and expanding offshore energy requires a lot of work and transportation. No matter if you use vessels or aircraft, this work is not sustainable. But if it didn’t get done, there would be no offshore energy, or it wouldn’t be very effective. Aviation is a key piece of the logistical puzzle in offshore energy. If a wind turbine breaks down, dispatching a service tech by helicopter is your best bet for getting it operational again quickly. That means more uptime for renewable energy sources, and it means that offshore aviation does contribute to Goal 13 (Climate action). At HeliOIS, we’re working to reduce our climate impact: We use airfields close to the shore to shorten flight distances. We use sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) when feasible. And because we know sustainability is about more than climate, we work with the UN SDGs in other ways: ➡ We support Goal 3 (Good health and well-being) by providing health insurance for our employees, and by supporting healthy lifestyle choices. Supporting Goal 9 (Industry, innovation and infrastructure) is at the heart of our DNA at HeliOIS: Our direct flights save time, cost and resources – and they increase crew efficiency. ➡ We work with cities, ports, and airports globally and always involve local staff. By doing so, we support Goal 11 (Sustainable cities and communities), and we respect diverse cultures. ➡ We support Goal 17 (Partnerships for the goals) by seeking cooperation, creating networks and relations that strengthen our joint efforts. Sustainable development is an ongoing process, and we all need to keep pushing for improvement. Call us to learn more about our sustainability efforts at HeliOIS or to discover how efficient offshore aviation can be. ……………. Challenge us! 🎯 HeliOIS is your single point of contact – call us at +45 53 53 84 23 with any aviation or logistics challenge in the offshore industry. #HeliOIS #OffshoreIndustryService #Offshore #Windenergy #SDGs
